Stephen and Kenneth have done exceptional work and helped me through some tough times. I was involved in a DV situation where I was wrongfully arrested. Through their diligence and hard work, I had no case filed against me. The DA dismissed the entire case as insufficient evidence. Stephen and Kenneth also successfully helped me prepare a persuasive letter to my future employers when the same DV situation came up on a background check. They are responsive, easy to talk to, and genuinely care for their clients. While no one wants to be in a position where they need a criminal attorney, having one with proven success is assuring.

In 2019 I was arrested in Pasadena facing 25 years. this was my first time ever being arrested or charged with a crime, and I had 5 felonies. I thought my life was over. The first 3 times I went to (Pasadena) court I was assigned a public defender, who was not only extremely busy with other cases, but also did not seem to believe that I was telling the truth. After speaking with other inmates I had my father contact the Shouse Law Group, where I was placed in contact with attorney Karthik Krishnan. He immediately set up a meeting to come and visit me, where I explained my situation. Unlike with my public defender I really felt that Karthik wanted to help me, and that he would do everything in his power to help me. Within 2 weeks we had made more progress than in the previous 3 months, and my outlook on the situation began to change. I remember one day Karthik was visiting me, and he could see that I was very stressed. He asked what I was concerned about, and I explained that I was loosing hope and that I didn’t know if I would ever see the outside would again. After patiently listening Karthik then explained his step by step game plan for every single one of those concerns. I cannot tell you what a difference this made, I went back to my cell filled with hope. This hope was kept alive due to the great communication he had with me, I never felt forgotten. I stopped worrying about getting “lost in the system” because I knew he wouldn’t let that happen. Karthik seemed to take a lot of pride in helping me, and I could see that he was actively motivated to get me justice. This in turn motivated me to stay out of trouble in the jail, and to not give up, something many inmates around me had done. I really felt that he went above and beyond to help me not only understand the laws and the legal side, but to also show me that my life wasn’t over. In the end I was sentenced to formal probation, with a program instead of state prison. I could not have been more satisfied with this outcome. Karthik even explained that in a few years I have an opportunity to reduce my felonies to misdemeanors, and that he would be able to help me with that too. He went above and beyond to help me, and I could not have been more grateful to have found him and this firm.

I reached out to several lawyers prior to obtaining Brian Hurwitz as my lawyer. It was clear from our first phone conversation that he was the guy for the job. My case initially started with a restraining order. It then went to three felonies (two being violent felonies) and a restraining order. I literally saw my life drastically changing for the worst right before my eyes. Brian had the courage to pick up both of my cases. The victim, who was my ex girlfriend, was doing everything in her power to make my life miserable and put me in jail for a long time. While Brian did not promise an end result, he promised that he would fight hard for the best outcome for me. I was quite impressed with Mat Rochlin. I have been in business for almost 50 years and one thing I alway hate is legal headaches. Mat did a great job of communicating and keeping me in the loop. At the same time he kept things moving forward and did a great job of closing this off before trial. Keeping costs unproductive losses and time down. I have great respect for his keeping me calm while I was put off by false and inflated claims by the opposing side. He can do a secondary job of being is Shrink for keeping my feet on the ground while I was angry over being made to be seen in an inappropriate and unflattering light. We found Janet Hong through a personal referral and we are so glad we did. My friend's 15-year-old son got charged with robbery for pushing some kid and taking his cell phone. His son is autistic and suffers from severe social anxiety and depression. He was already in counseling and receiving special education through the school, but recently his behavior had gotten worse. Ms. Hong was very sensitive to these issues. She understood what he was going through as a teenager with special needs and knew how to get through to him. My cousin was charged with attempted murder in Riverside for allegedly stabbing someone. He was facing life in prison. We could not believe it. We didn’t understand the process and we had no idea what was going to happen to him. My family and I all pitched in to hire Janet Hong to take his case. I got the impression he was generally incompetent. Spoke with him and he did some grandstanding about how law is like sorcery and made vague and general statements, then offered to take the case for 30k. An oxygen abuser. He replied to this and seemed to think he can authenticate telephone calls with a survey; demonstrating his competency and aptitude. Always do these tests before hiring an attorney.

Scam artist Now he's leaving some standardized reply to try to wash away his rejection. Sad. Daniel Perlman is the man! He’s knowledgeable , professional , and cares for his clients. He took my brother in law’s case on short notice and he did a great job! I recommend this office. I will definitely keep them in mind should I ever need their services. Also staff is very professional.
