Hello, my name is VA. and I’d like to share a bit of my story with you all today. I came to this country as an infant and was brought up in Los Angeles, CA. I always thought I was just like anyone else here in the states. Not really knowing that I wasn’t documented until I became aware of conversations the older adults had in my upbringing regarding immigration. This Firm took over a Fresno case two weeks ago. As promised and as requested, discovery was provided to this Firm within a few days by my assistant, a couple days before the next court date. Investigation done by an investigator and all other pertinent documents were also provided timely. As the case transitioned from mine to theirs, I was promised payment 2 weeks ago. Then last week. Then yesterday. Then today. The Firm never bothered to reach out to inform us of any changes to their deadline. Whenever the deadline passed, my assistant had to reach out for an update. I'm not so concerned with myself - I was more concerned about their payment because it covered investigation done by an incredible investigator in Fresno. When they finally handled it today, the receptionist was extremely rude and condescending and made themselves sound like the victims for not paying. (No time, court, blah blah, but they had time for consults). Every deadline they set for themselves was not honored. He called this investigator, who has achieved acquittals on homicides, a "crackhead" and asked if this firm was "on its last dollar." This receptionist does a great job of playing the victim. Rest assured, the receptionist's conduct will be made aware within this community.

Court day came up and I was supposed to go back in and serve 2 more days but got credit for time served. And at court I only had one charge of dui the other charges were dropped!
