A year ago, I was involved in a hit-and-run (I was the one hit) and officers came to the scene only to arrest me for suspicion of a DUI. So you caught a case. You're worried about how you're going to pay for an attorney , how long you will sit in jail, how much your bond will be, and what life will be like after court. I was there too. I had talked to so many attorneys on free consults and it was always the same "pitch". They would use words to make me even more worried and overwhelmed by the whole mess. Fear was the tool they used most to try and get me to sign up with them. Some were rude. I had one laugh at me for not acting on the case sooner. They would always ask how much money or credit i had. That is understandeable. They wanted to "qualify" the sale and see if i was a good fit for their time and budget. The prices that these attorneys quoted me were way out of my budget. Spoke with him and he did some grandstanding about how law is like sorcery and made vague and general statements, then offered to take the case for 30k. An oxygen abuser. Called a number of firms. This was the only one to answer. Chelsey was knowledgeable and they were willing to wait for me to get there. Court was the following day so there was a bit of panic. This was for a restraining order for a false allegation of domestic violence. Met with David Wallin & he had a plan.Have been working with Bart as our assigned Attorney & Chelsey as the best paralegal in my opinion. This was for my Son. I was amazed by the professionalism of the staff at the Law Offices of David M. Wallin. We had a relative out of the country that had trouble entering into the U.S. due to an outstanding bench warrant that was issued some time ago. David Wallin and his staff immediately took action on the case and within a week convinced the judge to recall the warrant and on top of that, the case was terminated by the judge. We found Janet Hong through a personal referral and we are so glad we did. My friend's 15-year-old son got charged with robbery for pushing some kid and taking his cell phone. His son is autistic and suffers from severe social anxiety and depression. He was already in counseling and receiving special education through the school, but recently his behavior had gotten worse. Ms. Hong was very sensitive to these issues. She understood what he was going through as a teenager with special needs and knew how to get through to him. In the end, her experience dealing with minors in the juvenile court system came through. She was able to get the case dismissed and sealed. It was such a relief. My cousin was charged with attempted murder in Riverside for allegedly stabbing someone. He was facing life in prison. We could not believe it. We didn’t understand the process and we had no idea what was going to happen to him. My family and I all pitched in to hire Janet Hong to take his case. From day one she was responsive, knowledgeable, and answered all the questions we had - and we had many. Her experience and knowledge of the system became very evident the more we spoke to her. She was real, and she leveled with us about the seriousness of the case without sugarcoating anything. We appreciated that. But most importantly, we knew she cared 100% for my cousin.
