Let me tell you about Mark Schafer! LET ME TELL YOU!!! So just to start things off, I have really bad anxiety, I have really bad depression, so when I received a letter in the mail that I had gotten a warrant, I panicked like I had never panicked in my anxiety ridden life. Right I away I started crying, I was afraid, I had no idea what it meant, what I had to do, I was completely and utterly lost. I called my best friend and she recommended me to visit Mark. I called him and mind you it was an early morning on Monday, he immediately calmed me down, and invited me to his office for a consultation. As soon as I met him, he took a look into my case, read the file, ran through every step that he could take to have the warrant taken care of and he answered all my questions concerning the matter of my case. Getting a DUI is not a fun experience and was actually pretty scary for me. I did a lot of research on Google before I decided to go with Josh. I did interview 3 other law firms and what I appreciated from Josh and Lily was how much effort they put into easing my fears about my first DUI. The other lawyers were trying to scare me about possible jail time and really using the scare me tactic to hiring them which I thought was mean and cruel considering I was genuinely scared. To put a long story short and the end of the day I was represented in a way that I was happy with the outcome of my case.

If you want a law firm to do half the job then this would be the place. Now in the effort to be fair they did cover half of what they agreed to. The law firm the attorney appointed to my case did do my DMV hearing for me, afterwards they said they would reach out and let me know what happened. I never heard back and received the results of the hearing via a letter from the DMV. I called the law firm and nobody answered. I tried again about a week later and they said my attorney was in court and he would contact me. Side note: he never did. I tried reaching out to him and the secretary via email a few times and was met with no response. When it came time for my arraignment however, I received no communication on their part. I did try to contact them about a week and half before and was again met with “your attorney should reach out to you before your trial” lo and behold come day of my trial I had no heard from him. So I show up to my arraignment without my legal representation that I had hired them for go through that process as best I could. I think it’s done with and over, and I had been upset and fed up with the experience so I decided to write it off as poor luck and poor research on my part before I had hired them. That was until I got a call from a very confused attorney (and a very upset me on the other end) as to why he had showed up and heard I pleaded out. I asked him why I hadn’t been contacted and why there had been a severe lack of communication on their end as to what the process would look like for me, to which I heard nothing but stuttering apologies. Now this is the part that Spurs me to write the review and share my experience. He said that a partner would contact me within a week, it has now been close to four weeks and I haven’t heard a thing from the law firm. I write this in hope that this will change the communication on their part and create a better experience for anyone who decides to hire them, also as a word of caution before you move forward in deciding this may be the law firm for you.

Steve went above and beyond in helping me resolve a petty theft case. For someone who had never had any run-ins with the law before, the entire process of going to court and retaining an attorney was all new and very frightening. I had a felony case in CA that haunted me for 3 years and for the first time ever, I was concerned for my future. Over a 4 month period, I spoke to more attorneys than I could count on two hands; some I was able to get a hold of and some I couldn't even get past reception. I was not very keen on spending thousands only my defense lawyer and not even be able to speak with them. When I reached out to Ron, I was attended to within a few hours. This is exactly what happened to me and if this doesn't already tell you about the character of this reputable attorney then check his website and these raw and heart warming reviews. I was involved in an auto accident that was my fault and because I was afraid and acted out of that instinct I was charged with a hit and run felony, even though I returned. When I thought all hope was gone, I met this man of God by divine intervention! I was searching for criminal defense attorneys in OC and he was the first to pop up! Out of so many choices I knew it was God-ordained! At the time I was waiting for the police report for months and all to no avail. Attorney Bettencourt took care of all my legal needs without me having to return to California since I leave in a different state. In 2008 I needed an expungement done on my record and she was not only able to grant me this but she handled it well and gave no problems. However, I don't know what happend with the people that gave her one star. That's unfortunate if the quality of her services went downhill after 2008! Lastly, due to her doing this, I've had no issues with applying for jobs since nor issues with background checks, criminal or otherwise.

Staycie Sena, is oustanding! She has made the impossible happen in our case. My dogs were taken away by OC Animal Care on a false claim and even though we were told I wouldn't be able to get them back to our family she brought our family together and got our babies home. My son over everyone thanks the lucky stars for Staycie. She called me back right away. Was not willing to negotiate fee and wanted $500 upfront to write a letter. Her website states responsible rates and payment plans I was not given that option. When someone is in trouble it is not unheard of they need help NOW Ms.Sena said if I couldn't pay $500 today I should do it myself I wouldn't be calling her if I could.
