They assisted me with my bankruptcy. Steve went above and beyond in helping me resolve a petty theft case. For someone who had never had any run-ins with the law before, the entire process of going to court and retaining an attorney was all new and very frightening. I had a warrant out for my arrest in 2012 in California, I was in California for only 4 months in 2012 and have lived in New England and Florida ever since. I do not know anyone in CA so I researched well known attorneys in the area and came across Jimmy and his great reviews. Since the first phone call he was upfront with me about the price, process, what I would need to do and what he could do. He answered all of my phone calls, emailed me all the paperwork i requested and kept me updated during every step of this process. When the judge refused to lift my warrant he fought for me to be able to post bail from out of state and got the judge to sign off on it when the judge was very clear he wanted me to fly out to CA for this case. Jimmy went to court for me today for the last time and got my case dismissed!! He called me as soon as he got out of court with the great news. His pricing is extremely fair, no hidden fees or extra charges. He was a pleasure to speak with and I would recommend him to anyone I know. I also want to say that I am an addict in recovery, I have been clean and sober for over 5 years and my case was drug related. I received no judgement from Jimmy, only understanding and compassion. Attorney Bettencourt took care of all my legal needs without me having to return to California since I leave in a different state.
