I can't thank Isaac Blumberg and Darleen R. Newcomb(Legal Assistant) enough. Isaac Blumberg has represented one of my family members in the past and has represented me twice now and has not disappointed. I was convicted of a DUI in 2018. In 2018 I drove while having a suspended license (suspended license due to DUI) Isaac represented me and I received a Misdemeanor, remained on informal probation, and received a fine. On November 23, 2019 I was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, prior DUI within 10 years of VC23152 conviction. I was incarcerated November 23, 2019 at Las Colinas Detention and ReentryFacility my bail was at $100,000 I didn't have the money to post bail so I remained incarcerated in hopes that my bail would be lowered or I'd be released on my own recognizance at my first court appearance. That did not end up being the case my bail remained at $100,000 and I was not able to be released on my own recognizance however, Isaac Blumberg filled out some paper work to see if I could be approved to get out of Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility on County Parole and Alternative Custody (CPAC) before I was even sentenced. I was approved and was released on December 17, 2020 on CPAC the paperwork took some time to go through due to Thanksgiving otherwise after being approved I would have been out sooner. The ladies I was incarcerated with at Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility were shocked to see me be released especially on CPAC before I was even sentenced. I went from being incarcerated to being on CPAC to being on SCRAM everything slowly but surely got better. I did what the judge and Isaac Blumberg had advise me to do since my first court date. I stayed out of trouble, I stayed sober, I did an outpatient program, and etc. before being sentenced. I could not have chosen a better attorney to represent me. I could have been sentenced to 2 years in prison with a Felony or a Felony with 2 years of formal probation. The outcome to this case was that the Felony was brought down to a Misdemeanor today October 8, 2020. Due to COVID-19 cases were pushed back which is why it took this long for me to be sentenced. Isaac Blumberg is VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE! I recommend him to anyone who is looking for a criminal defense attorney to represent them.

I chose not to retain Mr. Ramos after our brief phone consultation. Although he was informative regarding certain details pertaining to my recent arrest, he told me some things that contradicted what two other ex-district attorneys turned criminal defense lawyers had previously told me on my one on one consultation with them. I’m the type of person that likes to get a feel for a person with more than just a five minute phone call, and I told Mr. Ramos that I’m aware that COVID probably prevents doing a lot of in person meetings, but I asked him if he’d be willing to Skype or FaceTime with me so that I could get a better feel for him so that I can make the best decision in retaining an attorney for my very serious criminal case. He rather rudely told me that he doesn’t Skype unless he’s been retained. From that point on, he seemed annoyed. He’s not a cheap lawyer and he wants all money up front (which is his right) but I feel I have a right to see more than a picture and a phone call before paying over 6k to retain someone. Just rubbed me the wrong way...

Anna and her team successfully wrangled to dismissal a very painful case against my partner and myself that arose from unfortunate circumstance and would have led to multiple charges against us. can't thank enough and appreciate David Boertje, and his WONDERFUL Staff. I had my first DUI and was very concerned with the situation and on how to approach it. I had to keep my license because I drive for work and that was my main goal. I had spoken to a few attorneys prior to Mr. Boertje and they all gave me pretty similar scenarios, but the confidence, the reassurance and the step by step of what he would do to help my case gave me confidence that he can handle my situation. Not only that, but David answered my call on a Sunday afternoon, when others I couldn't get through, so at that moment I made my choice to have him represent me. The process of documents, courts, DMV hearing, and everything that I had zero knowledge of was thoroughly explained which made me feel very comfortable. Nothing was hidden from me and Kimberly was extremely helpful with making sure all my questions were answered. She helped me with the documents and was always attentive to my needs and reassuring. I decided to hire Donte T. Wyatt after the courts decided to take action against me on charges from December 2011 for narcotics sales in June 2012. He went through a lot of trouble for me by searching for specifics about my situation for it was not exactly simple. This was my first adult case, however my juvenile record is full with a history of negativity. One of the charges from my juvenile record showed a strike which i DID NOT know about until I hired Donte and he reviewed my records. He told me exactly what I needed to do to impress the judge and show them that i am sincere about changing my life. He urged me to stay in school and excel well in my academics so I had the grades to support our word. He always responded to questions or concerns whenever he had a spare moment to do so. He walked me through my case step by step every time we met, and instead of telling me one big goal were trying to reach, he explained that the strategy he felt would be most effective would be to set smaller goals as if they were stepping stools to reach the top of a ladder. Last Monday was my sentencing date. With the teamwork of him telling me what I needed to do, and me going and doing so, he was able to have my judge ignore my strike, and take into consideration the fact that I had spent time away for this same charge due to a juvenile parole hold. This allowed me to get the time served for those few months I served as a violation which convinced the judge that I had served enough time and that she would allow me to continue trying to better my life in the community rather than spending more time incarcerated. I would highly recommend Mr. Wyatt because he is A) honest, which is something many other attorneys lack today, B) he knows what he is talking about, he told me the possibilities and he told me n specifics what I could do to better the possibilities, and the outcome of my case proves he knew exactly what he was speaking of, and C) he keeps you up to date with any information he acquires and does not sugar coat anything. He tells you how it is.

When a family member of mine was arrested, I really had no clue who to speak with. I was very unfamiliar with the system and after speaking with a list of lawyers, I was really scared we would have to wait to see the judge because of our lack of funds.I remembered hearing of Donte and so I searched his name and gave him a ring. While I was worried about the money, he assured me we would talk about that later after visiting the jail. He literally hung up the phone with me and drove to the jail to speak with my family member. After just a few days, he was able to get her out of there. Since, Donte has been beyond helpful with every single step we have had to go through. Its not easy being caught up in the system and honestly, every time we hit a bump, Donte has been clear, compassionate and efficient.I honestly feel like he gives us great direction on how to take care of our part while providing all of the resources to do so and always holds up his end- no questions. There are a lot of sleazy lawyers, unfortunately. Donte is a good human being and has become a friend. Legal problems can be petrifying, especially when you have a family to take care of. We are thankful for finding Donte and would absolutely recommend him. I know he is not a super, cheap-o lawyer with absurdly low rates and half-assed representation, but he will work with you. His experience and care has undoubtedly reflected the outcome of our case.

My son was living in another state when he was charged with first degree murder for a crime that had been committed several years ago here in California. As soon as I found out about the arrest I made arrangements to take a plane out the next afternoon. As soon as I made my plane reservation I went on line to find an attorney to potentially represent my son. I needed someone who specialized in homicide. Our family had no prior experience with the legal system as it pertains to criminal defense. I had no idea what to expect. Being that it was after normal office hours I left messages with two attorneys. Within minutes, attorney, Russell Babcock returned my call. I explained the reason for my call. He set a meeting for the next morning so I could meet with him and still make my flight in the afternoon. At our meeting I explained everything I knew about the case. He told me about himself and his experience as well as explaining the process and the sequence of events that would take place. Mr. Babcock made himself available should I need guidance while I was away. I had several questions during that time and needed help getting a Power of Attorney. Mr. Babcock emailed a Power of Attorney form for the state my son was living in and helped me navigate through the process. Once I returned back home I did extensive research on several attorneys. The charges against my son were serious and had the potential of a life sentence so it was critical that we pick the right person. I enlisted some family members to help me research potential representation. We read everything we could find on several San Diego attorneys who specialized in homicide. I personally interviewed eight attorneys. Ultimately we agreed on Russell Babcock. At the time Mr. Babcock was hired, he gave me a set price to handle the case. He informed me about extra expenses that could potentially come up, depending on how the case progressed. During the course of my son’s case, Mr. Babcock contacted me on a weekly basis, some weeks I heard from him multiple times. Every time there was new information he emailed or called. We met several times initially while he was gathering information and building the case. There was uncharted territory in several aspects of this case which created more of a challenge and significantly more research for Mr. Babcock. He went to the jail many times to visit my son. I can truly say he took a personal interest in my son and in the case. I believe he represented my son the same way he would represent his own family member. Every claim he made in his profile I found to be true. I believe Mr. Babcock went above and beyond what ANY other attorney would have done. The prosecution wanted a first degree murder conviction, consequently they were not open to any kind of a plea bargain. Through weeks and weeks of research, some very impressive Motions and the professionalism and expertise Mr. Babcock presented, the end result was a plea for Manslaughter without Malice. I don’t believe any other attorney would have been able to get the original charge reduced to where it ended up. After going through the last year of the hell our family has gone through, we owe a lot of thanks and gratitude to Mr. Babcock for getting to know my son and seeing him as a person worth fighting for. Not only did Mr. Babcock help my son, but he also guided our family through the ups and downs of the process. His knowledge and caring attitude were invaluable. I believed in the beginning that Mr. Babcock was the right person for the job. I am now convinced that he was. I believe with ANY other attorney the conviction would have been catastrophic - a life sentence. I can not say enough good things about Mr. Babcock. He is honest, trustworthy, true to his word and more than anything else, he truly cares.

One thing that no-one tells you is that car accident insurance claims drag on for months, sometimes they can take more than a year to resolve! A friend of mine was in a car accident recently so I knew how long it would take and decided to hunt for a lawyer who I would be happy to deal with for that long. Lucky I did because my case took eight months from my first consultation! After meeting Brad Nakase and his team, I knew they were the right legal team for me. Brad Nakase is a thoughtful and witty man, he treated me with the utmost respect and compassion at all times, and I felt like I was meeting a friend rather than a lawyer. My calls and emails were answered quickly throughout the whole process, something that should be a given, but usually isn’t! The insurance company dragged their heels and used some really dirty tactics in my case, but I was not nervous for a single second. I knew that Brad Nakase would get the very best results he could. Brad Nakase is a true community man, talking to him is just like chatting to your neighbor. He is funny, super intelligent, and a force of nature in court. He truly listens to you, which is something most attorneys cannot do. At times I feel like he understood my injuries better than I did!
