I can't thank Isaac Blumberg and Darleen R. Newcomb(Legal Assistant) enough. Isaac Blumberg has represented one of my family members in the past and has represented me twice now and has not disappointed. I was convicted of a DUI in 2018. In 2018 I drove while having a suspended license (suspended license due to DUI) Isaac represented me and I received a Misdemeanor, remained on informal probation, and received a fine. On November 23, 2019 I was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, prior DUI within 10 years of VC23152 conviction. I was incarcerated November 23, 2019 at Las Colinas Detention and ReentryFacility my bail was at $100,000 I didn't have the money to post bail so I remained incarcerated in hopes that my bail would be lowered or I'd be released on my own recognizance at my first court appearance. That did not end up being the case my bail remained at $100,000 and I was not able to be released on my own recognizance however, Isaac Blumberg filled out some paper work to see if I could be approved to get out of Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility on County Parole and Alternative Custody (CPAC) before I was even sentenced. I was approved and was released on December 17, 2020 on CPAC the paperwork took some time to go through due to Thanksgiving otherwise after being approved I would have been out sooner. The ladies I was incarcerated with at Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility were shocked to see me be released especially on CPAC before I was even sentenced. I went from being incarcerated to being on CPAC to being on SCRAM everything slowly but surely got better. I did what the judge and Isaac Blumberg had advise me to do since my first court date. I stayed out of trouble, I stayed sober, I did an outpatient program, and etc. before being sentenced. I could not have chosen a better attorney to represent me. I could have been sentenced to 2 years in prison with a Felony or a Felony with 2 years of formal probation. The outcome to this case was that the Felony was brought down to a Misdemeanor today October 8, 2020. Due to COVID-19 cases were pushed back which is why it took this long for me to be sentenced. My son was living in another state when he was charged with first degree murder for a crime that had been committed several years ago here in California. As soon as I found out about the arrest I made arrangements to take a plane out the next afternoon. As soon as I made my plane reservation I went on line to find an attorney to potentially represent my son. I needed someone who specialized in homicide. Our family had no prior experience with the legal system as it pertains to criminal defense. I had no idea what to expect. Being that it was after normal office hours I left messages with two attorneys. Within minutes, attorney, Russell Babcock returned my call. I explained the reason for my call. He set a meeting for the next morning so I could meet with him and still make my flight in the afternoon. At our meeting I explained everything I knew about the case. He told me about himself and his experience as well as explaining the process and the sequence of events that would take place. BEST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DEFENSE LAWYER IN SAN DIEGO!!!! I came referred to Mary Francis from another family law lawyer who helped me in my extremely acrimonious divorce case. My ex husband was abusive throughout the relationship. But when it looked like I was going to win sole physical custody, and he was going to have to pay support, I saw a side of him I never could have imagined. He attacked me, then called the police after slamming his own face into the door three times, then accusing me. I was taken away in handcuffs, placed in jail, and when I bailed out, I had to deal with CPS. I felt completely alone and abandoned. Then came Mary to the rescue. Mary worked the case from top to bottom, reviewing all the family court pleadings, having her investigator walk the neighborhood to get stories of my husband's abuse from everyone he could. At the end of the day the case was dismissed. It ultimately took 6 months to get it dismissed, and it cost a fair price for my freedom (especially the investigators, Mary Francis not so much). But it was worth every penny. I am now safe and secure with my children. Thanks to Mary Francis. She is the best domestic violence defense lawyer in town, I was told, and my referral was right on!

I had a run in with Sheriff deputies who threw me to the ground and then falsely arrested me, and accused me of being drunk. I'd had one, single beer, with three witnesses. it didn't matter to them. Good for them that they didn't have cameras. So they could say whatever they wanted and there wasn't much I could do about it. But then I was looking for a good San Diego criminal defense attorney, and I was referred to Mary Frances, and she did a lot about it. She was able to get into their personnel files, find the two who slammed me to the ground had other complaints. The prosecutors didn't want to do anything to the deputies except protect them. I am a God loving man, and I expect the law and government to be honest. They were not. None of them were. Mary Frances stuck it out and pushed to the date of trial. She had witness lined up against the cops, my witnesses lined up, and only then and after many months of working hard was Mary able to get the case dismissed. It's a sad day in San Diego when a God fearing, tax paying citizen is treated like a criminal not only by cops, but by the prosecutors. I will never look on law enforcement with the same respect I once held. Thank God for Mary Frances and her perseverance.

I never really review places but because of how scared I was at first and how much this law firm office helped me, I felt I OWED that to the public to share a review because I can understand the fear. Anna, she's so dedicated and devoted to her clients, I even spoke with her twice over the WEEKEND. Anna and her team successfully wrangled to dismissal a very painful case against my partner and myself that arose from unfortunate circumstance and would have led to multiple charges against us. Her team was sensitive to the unique nature of the case and did not rubber stamp an outcome. While I personally felt communication could have been a bit better and it seemed I had to remind them of information I had already communicated and it's importance, the final outcome was what mattered the most.
