I can't thank Mr. Griffin and his team enough for their help. Mr Southcott was very personable when I spoke to him both in person and over the phone. He provided us with very great and helpful advice. He was very generous with his time in both his phone and in person consultation. The first time I contacted him was with a voice mail and then via the web site and both times he got back to me right away. There are so many good qualities of having Ed Southcott in your corner. He knows many people in the court houses and definately does his due diligence as an attorney. BEST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DEFENSE LAWYER IN SAN DIEGO!!!! I came referred to Mary Francis from another family law lawyer who helped me in my extremely acrimonious divorce case. My ex husband was abusive throughout the relationship. But when it looked like I was going to win sole physical custody, and he was going to have to pay support, I saw a side of him I never could have imagined. He attacked me, then called the police after slamming his own face into the door three times, then accusing me. I was taken away in handcuffs, placed in jail, and when I bailed out, I had to deal with CPS. I felt completely alone and abandoned. Then came Mary to the rescue. Mary worked the case from top to bottom, reviewing all the family court pleadings, having her investigator walk the neighborhood to get stories of my husband's abuse from everyone he could. At the end of the day the case was dismissed. It ultimately took 6 months to get it dismissed, and it cost a fair price for my freedom (especially the investigators, Mary Francis not so much). But it was worth every penny. I am now safe and secure with my children. Thanks to Mary Francis. She is the best domestic violence defense lawyer in town, I was told, and my referral was right on!

I had a run in with Sheriff deputies who threw me to the ground and then falsely arrested me, and accused me of being drunk. I'd had one, single beer, with three witnesses. it didn't matter to them. Good for them that they didn't have cameras. So they could say whatever they wanted and there wasn't much I could do about it. But then I was looking for a good San Diego criminal defense attorney, and I was referred to Mary Frances, and she did a lot about it. She was able to get into their personnel files, find the two who slammed me to the ground had other complaints. The prosecutors didn't want to do anything to the deputies except protect them. I am a God loving man, and I expect the law and government to be honest. They were not. None of them were. Mary Frances stuck it out and pushed to the date of trial. She had witness lined up against the cops, my witnesses lined up, and only then and after many months of working hard was Mary able to get the case dismissed. It's a sad day in San Diego when a God fearing, tax paying citizen is treated like a criminal not only by cops, but by the prosecutors. I will never look on law enforcement with the same respect I once held. Thank God for Mary Frances and her perseverance.

I hired Dan Greene to help a family member with some legal issues. Dan was great. He really knows how to navigate the court system. We had a late request on Friday afternoon. Government rarely gets things done on Friday afternoons. Dan moved mountains to get our time sensitive issue resolved as quickly as possible on Friday afternoon after 4:00pm. Others that I have shared the story with say that is unheard of. Dan was also extremely empathetic and compassionate with the sensitive nature of our case. One thing that no-one tells you is that car accident insurance claims drag on for months, sometimes they can take more than a year to resolve! A friend of mine was in a car accident recently so I knew how long it would take and decided to hunt for a lawyer who I would be happy to deal with for that long. Lucky I did because my case took eight months from my first consultation! After meeting Brad Nakase and his team, I knew they were the right legal team for me. Brad Nakase is a thoughtful and witty man, he treated me with the utmost respect and compassion at all times, and I felt like I was meeting a friend rather than a lawyer. My calls and emails were answered quickly throughout the whole process, something that should be a given, but usually isn’t! The insurance company dragged their heels and used some really dirty tactics in my case, but I was not nervous for a single second. I knew that Brad Nakase would get the very best results he could. In the end he had to take them to court. Even though it was clear he did everything he could to come to a quick and satisfactory solution, Brad Nakase was clearly unafraid to take the insurance company to court. It is easy to see why, he is a very skilled litigator, I’m so glad he was on my team rather than against me!

Brad Nakase is a true community man, talking to him is just like chatting to your neighbor. He is funny, super intelligent, and a force of nature in court. He truly listens to you, which is something most attorneys cannot do. At times I feel like he understood my injuries better than I did! Unfortunately after my car accident, we had to take the insurance company to court, they were stubborn in denying my claim, but Brad Nakase was more stubborn! The results of my case were better than I ever could hope for. Brad Nakase is the only lawyer I have ever felt like I could trust implicitly. I chose not to retain Mr. Ramos after our brief phone consultation. Although he was informative regarding certain details pertaining to my recent arrest, he told me some things that contradicted what two other ex-district attorneys turned criminal defense lawyers had previously told me on my one on one consultation with them. I’m the type of person that likes to get a feel for a person with more than just a five minute phone call, and I told Mr. Ramos that I’m aware that COVID probably prevents doing a lot of in person meetings, but I asked him if he’d be willing to Skype or FaceTime with me so that I could get a better feel for him so that I can make the best decision in retaining an attorney for my very serious criminal case. He rather rudely told me that he doesn’t Skype unless he’s been retained. From that point on, he seemed annoyed. He’s not a cheap lawyer and he wants all money up front (which is his right) but I feel I have a right to see more than a picture and a phone call before paying over 6k to retain someone. Just rubbed me the wrong way...
