Believe in all these GREAT reviews. I never really review places but because of how scared I was at first and how much this law firm office helped me, I felt I OWED that to the public to share a review because I can understand the fear. Anna, she's so dedicated and devoted to her clients, I even spoke with her twice over the WEEKEND. Anna and her team successfully wrangled to dismissal a very painful case against my partner and myself that arose from unfortunate circumstance and would have led to multiple charges against us. Her team was sensitive to the unique nature of the case and did not rubber stamp an outcome. While I personally felt communication could have been a bit better and it seemed I had to remind them of information I had already communicated and it's importance, the final outcome was what mattered the most. Nick cleared up and old case that had been on my record for decades. Literally. can't thank enough and appreciate David Boertje, and his WONDERFUL Staff. I had my first DUI and was very concerned with the situation and on how to approach it. I had to keep my license because I drive for work and that was my main goal. I had spoken to a few attorneys prior to Mr. Boertje and they all gave me pretty similar scenarios, but the confidence, the reassurance and the step by step of what he would do to help my case gave me confidence that he can handle my situation. Not only that, but David answered my call on a Sunday afternoon, when others I couldn't get through, so at that moment I made my choice to have him represent me. The process of documents, courts, DMV hearing, and everything that I had zero knowledge of was thoroughly explained which made me feel very comfortable. Nothing was hidden from me and Kimberly was extremely helpful with making sure all my questions were answered. She helped me with the documents and was always attentive to my needs and reassuring. She was extremely wonderful and great help with the process as well!! In the end, I did keep my license and things turned out to be much better than expected. BEST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DEFENSE LAWYER IN SAN DIEGO!!!! I came referred to Mary Francis from another family law lawyer who helped me in my extremely acrimonious divorce case. My ex husband was abusive throughout the relationship. But when it looked like I was going to win sole physical custody, and he was going to have to pay support, I saw a side of him I never could have imagined. He attacked me, then called the police after slamming his own face into the door three times, then accusing me. I was taken away in handcuffs, placed in jail, and when I bailed out, I had to deal with CPS. I felt completely alone and abandoned. Then came Mary to the rescue. Mary worked the case from top to bottom, reviewing all the family court pleadings, having her investigator walk the neighborhood to get stories of my husband's abuse from everyone he could. At the end of the day the case was dismissed. It ultimately took 6 months to get it dismissed, and it cost a fair price for my freedom (especially the investigators, Mary Francis not so much). But it was worth every penny. I am now safe and secure with my children. Thanks to Mary Francis. She is the best domestic violence defense lawyer in town, I was told, and my referral was right on!

I had a run in with Sheriff deputies who threw me to the ground and then falsely arrested me, and accused me of being drunk. I'd had one, single beer, with three witnesses. it didn't matter to them. Good for them that they didn't have cameras. So they could say whatever they wanted and there wasn't much I could do about it. But then I was looking for a good San Diego criminal defense attorney, and I was referred to Mary Frances, and she did a lot about it. She was able to get into their personnel files, find the two who slammed me to the ground had other complaints. The prosecutors didn't want to do anything to the deputies except protect them. I am a God loving man, and I expect the law and government to be honest. They were not. None of them were. Mary Frances stuck it out and pushed to the date of trial. She had witness lined up against the cops, my witnesses lined up, and only then and after many months of working hard was Mary able to get the case dismissed. It's a sad day in San Diego when a God fearing, tax paying citizen is treated like a criminal not only by cops, but by the prosecutors. I will never look on law enforcement with the same respect I once held. Thank God for Mary Frances and her perseverance.

Matt Terry is a phenomenal DUI attorney, hands down. Searching for a lawyer can seem like quite the task, especially in a time of overwhelming chaos. Update: In response to the reply left on my review. I wrote "When I was convicted he left me to question the jury for an hour (to see why they convicted me) with no consideration to me or my emotional state." I was implying that he left me alone so he could question the jury. The fact that the "attorney" claims that I am another attorney trying to make him look bad is laughable and deeply unprofessional. *********** I'll spare you the details of my personal emotions and just give you the facts. I paid $4,500 for Mr. Terry's services after consulting one other attorney. He seemed genuinely on my side and seemed willing to fight for me. This changed after he charged my card. He promised me to speak to me about my case and prepare what he described as a "trial binder". He was aloof and rarely returned phone calls. Occasionally I received a reply via e-mail. I trusted him being as I had never been in trouble before and had no idea what to expect. There was also a witness to my case that contradicted everything in the police report he promised to subpoena. I was even in the room when he called the man and asked if he would be willing to testify. He did not subpoena that witness. He did not speak to me at all before my trial. He did not prepare a trial binder for me. He retained the help of an "expert witness" who was completely unprepared and had no idea the details of my case. An expert witness I paid for and trusted him to recommend. When I was convicted he left me to question the jury for an hour (to see why the convicted me) with no consideration to me or my emotional state. Before I signed a contract, after I signed the contract and after my conviction he verbally told me he would help me end my probation early (providing I paid for my fine by then and remained out of trouble). I called him twice and left messages with his paralegal or receptionist. He didn't return either call. I cannot recommend this man and I highly advise you against retaining his services. He's unreliable and the very definition of what gives lawyers a bad name.
