I retained Bill Umansky to do some preliminary work on a criminal case. Usually, I never trust attorneys. They always seem to have an attitude, think they are better than you, and only care about taking your money. This experience was the complete opposite of that!! Bill was really great. He has a great sense of humor, he treated me like a human being, and talked to me like I was an equal and not a lower form of life. He did exactly what he said he was going to do and when the time came up that I could have chosen to pay more money to him to continue retaining him, he told me that he didn't want to take my money for no reason, and that he felt that I should just wait awhile and then see if I needed to retain him again later. I was falsely arrested by a sheriff the year of 2018 because I was on the sidewalk on my bike being safe. The female deputy advised me to ride on the sidewalk for my safety because my bike lights were off at the back. It was not even 5 minutes until a sheriff was following me, told me to stop for no reason, and ran me over with his patrol car. I called Michael right after I was bailed out of prison. He helped me with my case and the case was dropped. I fully appreciated for his help at that time. In 2020 to 2021, Michael worked very hard to get the evidence together for my case against another false arrest due to the sheriff didn't bothered to listen to the recording of the incident of April 18, 2020.
