I retained Bill Umansky to do some preliminary work on a criminal case. Usually, I never trust attorneys. They always seem to have an attitude, think they are better than you, and only care about taking your money. This experience was the complete opposite of that!! Bill was really great. He has a great sense of humor, he treated me like a human being, and talked to me like I was an equal and not a lower form of life. I wanted to write this review of my incredible experience using Moses & Rooth Law firm. I was in need of hiring an attorney to represent me in Traffic Court for going 40mph over the posted speed limit which required a mandatory court appearance. I reviewed many law firms by analyzing their results measured against their cost. Moses & Rooth is extremely affordable in my opinion compared with others in the Orlando area, however, they stand well above all others with the favorable results they obtain for their clients. When I decided to use them, I called & spoke with the Firms Legal Assistant Danielle who provided forms to sign & had me email a copy of the ticket. That day, they filed paperwork with the court explaining they would be representing me. Covid-19 slowed the court system way down but Danielle was always available to explain what was happening and answered all my questions. The day before court I spoke with Attorney Moses & explained the need to have the ticket reduced, if possible, since losing my job was highly likely due to the excessive speed. Attorney Moses called me after the court hearing with GREAT news. He was able to negotiate with the Officer to reduce the speed listed on the ticket to an acceptable amount to my employer. MR. Luka was very unprofessional. Studdered when giving his argument, was completely unprepared for my hearing and finally to make things worse , actually agreed with the prosecution. Please do not spend any money retaining Thomas Luka. It is no exaggeration at all to say it was the worse experience in the world. My fiancee retained him after his very first meeting with Luka. He left the meeting feeling confident. Luka seemed very professional and he acted like he truly wanted to help my fiancee. Right after paying the downpayment (before trial fees) everything changed. He wouldn't respond to any calls or text. When he would finally text or call back about the case he would be sarcastic and rude, as if we were bothering him. After months of dealing with this my fiancee decided he would look into retaining another lawyer. Not being sure how that worked, he called Luka and asked him, if he decided to go with another lawyer would he get any of his money back, Luka responded saying no, which was fine, then he told my fiancee that if he wanted to he could sue my fiancee. After that, Luka calls my fiancee randomly saying he missed court and there's a warrant for his arrest. My fiancee then asked him why he wasn't told there was a court date coming and if there's anyway to fix this. Luka laughs at him and says that he is no longer his lawyer so my fiancee would have to "figure it out". My fiancee asked him how he could just pull out of his case and Luka tells my fiancee that the call about money back was to fire him so he withdrew from the case. After arguing with him he finally says fine, if my fiancee finds all the receipts of payments he would help, if not my fiancee would have to give him 2,000 more to work on his case again. (We have all the text messages of this day) Finally we decided to call the main office and get copies of the receipts sent to Luka. Luckily the main office keeps receipts because Luka does not. Most payments were in cash because Luka said cash was easier. Fast forward to witness statements, while all my fiancees witnesses were giving their statements to the state prosecutor, Luka falls asleep and is snoring in the room! There is so much more that happened during this time with Luka, but this is some of the worse. BEWARE OF LAWYERS LIKE THIS! He also forged my fiancees name on a document and we are bringing all the proof to the Bar to report him. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I was falsely arrested by a sheriff the year of 2018 because I was on the sidewalk on my bike being safe. The female deputy advised me to ride on the sidewalk for my safety because my bike lights were off at the back. It was not even 5 minutes until a sheriff was following me, told me to stop for no reason, and ran me over with his patrol car. I called Michael right after I was bailed out of prison. He helped me with my case and the case was dropped. I fully appreciated for his help at that time. In 2020 to 2021, Michael worked very hard to get the evidence together for my case against another false arrest due to the sheriff didn't bothered to listen to the recording of the incident of April 18, 2020. I wanted Michael to take this case as well because he's the only lawyer I know and trust that actually listen to his client(s). He does come full prepared for the court date.
