I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with the way he conducts his business. I paid him 1200 to help me get child support dropped on my child who had quit school. After my own investigation with the school and child support I proved to child support with confirmation that my child quit school they closed my case . Basically paid him to lose my job and go to jail mr Barton never strayed away from the state recommended sentence but urged me to take a plea without negotiating for something on my behalf which is what you pay for the with a attorney I could’ve got the same outcome without his services. This man guided me from start to finish. The Courtroom Assassin strikes again with pure vengeance. He was disgraced when the judge denied his motion to suppress the breath test results. At which time he vowed to me that failure was not an option. He started to prepare our defense. As our trial began on June 8, 2021, he quietly leaned over to me and says, " I got this." When the trial began, he meticulously assaulted the State's witnesses (police) with precision. Upon his conclusion of the cross examination there was nothing left but carnage. The prosecutor even asked for mercy during his closing arguments. The prosecutor reasoned the police had come from a small department and deserved some leniency. Mr. Casey Cleaver concluded with explaining to the Court as to why he was so meticulous/ruthless with his assault on the State's witnesses. He looked at the jury and said, "Mr. Williams is not guilty of DUI." They all looked at him with astonishment, not believing what they had all just witnessed. After closing arguments were done, the Judge released the Jury for deliberation. They deliberated for almost five hours. Finally, they came back with a verdict. The foreman stood up and read the verdict. He said, "For driving under the influence of ALCOHOL, we the jury find the Defendant NOT GUILTY." The Courtroom Assassin sheath his sword and turned and walked out of the courtroom. Justice has been served again.

I believe it was God's timing that I met Scott when I did. After being connected with Scott through a mutual associate, Scott made me feel confident hiring him as my lawyer. Unfortunately I am unable to give a positive review of Scott Smith's office. I was referred to him by a friend for a simple DUI case. My experience summed up: After being personally assured from Scott himself that I would be in good hands, my case was passed from person to person and kicked down to what seemed to be the bottom of the totem pole (to an associate named Casey) who not only failed to file my paperwork on time but failed to appear to all court dates after advising me that my presence was not necessary. After several attempts to contact via email, text, voice calls, voice mails, physical appearance- my license was temporarily suspended (I was unaware of this until being pulled over for a 5 day late expired tag and then arrested for driving with a suspended license). Scott's office did acknowledge their negligence but proceeded to show the same lackadaisical effort as before, resulting in the hard suspension of my license and my request for a refund. If it were possible to give a 0 star review- I would.
