Read this entire review and you'll know everything you need to know about Thomas Thomas. I was your typical boy next door, all American athlete. High school social drinker turned college animal led to a flurry of DUIs and other alcohol related arrest in my early 20's. Unfortunately I didn't learn after the 1st time or find Tom until 1/2 way through that journey. Even in the face of insurmountable odds, Tom and his team secured the best possible outcome under the circumstances on more than one occasion. After getting my act together, nearly 2 decades later in my 40's, married with 4 young kids and a business to run, my past came back to haunt me. This time, by no fault of my own. When requesting a copy of my court dispositions to get a real estate license, a glitch in the system between the City of Atlanta and Department of Drivers Services suspended my license as if I had just a DUI, which was not the case. I found this out while trying to purchase a car. Thank God I didn't get pulled over and end up in jail not even knowing it was suspended. My license had been suspended for 10 months when I made this discovery. After exhausting every possible resource at the city, DDS, court house and solicitors office. Nobody could give me any explanation as to what was going on. I spent days trying to figure this out, then I decided to give Tom's office a call. His team leaped into action. Got to the bottom of the issue and had my license reinstated in a week. Not once did they hesitate or even hint that I needed to compensate them in any way. I pray I'll never need his help again. But if I do, I wouldn't hire anyone else.

Over all Mr. Head is a fair, honest, genuine lawyer. It felt like I had known him for a long time while he helped me on my case. I had an odd case/situation back in 2019 where the DMV was going to rovoke my license for a misunderstanding while renewing my DL. All medical records indicated I was ok to drive and had no medical conditions or history and clearly stated I was not a danger behind the wheel. The DMV ignored the medical records I had sent, emails, and phone calls/voicemails. Almost 30 years old and I've never been in trouble with the law. This misunderstanding almost cost me to sell my house I had just closed on in 2017. That's when Bubba came in and in less than one week the DMV reinstated my DL. I am beyond grateful for his help and assistance!

PART 1 Many reviews I have written in the past have simply been because that is the courteous and professional thing to do after receiving good services from anyone, though this one is different. Larry Kohn is the best lawyer I have ever dealt , if not the best professional of all that I have ever dealt with. I will preface this review by saying this was my 5th lifetime dui in 12 years and 3rd dui within in 10 years, and 2nd within 5 years. I knew there really wasn’t much that could likely be done given the video and my dui background so I assumed I would be going to jail; I just hoped Larry could help mitigate my punishment as most lawyers do. I feared this go around I would have to do some serious county jail time as I had been in and out of treatment for years and had used that as a mitigating factor to avoid serious jail time several times before. I don’t even think Mr. Kohn realizes how good of an attorney he is as he had told me I would likely being going to jail as he didn’t see a strong case for going to trial. He gave me good legal advice and warned me about going to trial which would have my case moved to fulton county and if found guilty I would be getting several months and likely up to a year in the fulton county jail. He gave me homework and gave me a few items that he needed me to go do before the hearing. We were going to sandy springs municipal to see if we could get our bearings with the prosecutor and then schedule another date for resolution. Larry somehow though went into the negotiation room without me there and did magic. He did a miracle. I have no idea what he did in that prosecutor’s office, but he walked out and had me follow him out of the court room. He was mesmerized himself. He said I got you the deal of a lifetime today and we are going to take this today. For my 5th lifetime dui facing a mandatory minimum of 90 days in county jail (had the dui been 2 months earlier it would have been 1-5 years in prison), he somehow got me the deal where my dui was dropped to a reckless driving charge, my hit and run charge was dropped. I had to pay a fine, do a reckless driving class, mothers against drunk driving, and pay a monthly probation fee until my requirements were fulfilled. Part 2 continues in another post

Scott said our case was easily defendable and required patment in full prior to court. He failed to show up for court on several occasions. The judge finally recommended we fire semrau and represent ourselves we did and it was brutal. We have no law experience. Afterwards i reached out to scott for a refund and he NEVER returned my call! Dont waste money on this guy

I called the Semrau Law Firm with my unusual case. It was a DUI from 14 years ago. Mr. Semrau did not fill me with unfounded hope or claims of unrealistic expectations in my initial call. Which is why I hired him, he was honest and upfront with me right from the start. Another factor that made my case slightly more of an issue, I no longer live in GA, nowhere near, in fact. So aside from it being an old case, I was not readily available to be able to sign anything or make appearances unless it was absolutely necessary. Once he got the police report and everything from the prosecutor, he gave me options, advised me on which would be best and gave me possible scenarios regarding the outcome. Throughout the roughly 9 months it took to complete my case, he stayed in contact with me, forwarded copies of everything to me regarding my case, what actions he had taken etc, so I was never in the dark about what was happening. In the end, he was able to get my case completely dismissed!! I could not be happier with the service I received. Everyone there, Mr Semrau, Mr Burns and Ms. Kellogg are all friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a law firm to represent you!

All I can tell you is I called them to inquire about possibly using their services for a simple expungement. The lady who answered took my info so that a lawyer could return my call when available. Towards the end I asked “ok you think that will be tomorrow?”, I’m attempt to get an idea so I didn’t miss the call. Lady did a 180 on me and rudely replied “I mean I can’t say, they’ll call you when he can call you”. I did 13 years in hospitality, so I get it. Maybe a bad day? Maybe she mistook my question for pushiness? I just took it and said thank you, I’ll wait for the call, goodbye. But now over a week later I never got a return call so I figured I would leave my feedback. If you want someone who has time to focus on your case, big or small, these guys are too busy.
