So about 2yrs ago I begin a journey with Mr hall I contacted him about him taking my case so I could get to see my kids ,and he was very knowledgeable and upfront with me about what to expect that it was going to be hard but will try to get me to see my kids. So I mean cause the pandemic it seem like it was taking forever but for those who don't know civil cases can be a long process so don't be discouraged thinking he don't care about ur case cause let me tell u what when it came to court day he was more then ready to go in court I was impressed. And he's secretary wich is he's son was always very nice and always kept me inform of what was going and always told me to call if any questions and even after the trial was done he still showed he care for he's clients interest.

Seriously by far the worst experience I have EVER had in my life. Completely shady. Did not appear to court on multiple occasions. Exhausted my retainer pretty quickly bc they would just keep filing for extensions and refusing to speak with me and having his son provide the worst excuses and examples ever. He did not EVEN SHOW UP for the deposition. If you like not being treated with respect and enjoy getting ripped off. THis is the lawyer for you!!! Sent me to collections for the first task he did and was billed for. Worst Integrity and disrespect I have ever witnessed.

Absolutely horrible! He would never return calls and when pushed to do his job instead of signing papers agreeing to things he refused to go to court to fight for custody, which was why he was hired. Absolutely the worst lawyer to deal with and very unprofessional.

Laura and her team made sure that I got good medical care and compensation for my injury. If I did not have Laura as my attorney I would not have gotten the care or compensation that I did. Laura and her team worked very hard to get them to comply with the law. Everyone in the office was available to answer my questions and walk me through the process. I firmly believe that an average individual has no chance against these large companies and their insurance company lawyers without proper representation. My case dragged on for 5 years. Laura and her team hung in there got me the surgeries that I needed and Financial resolution that I could live with. Would have been completely impossible on my own. THANKS, guys n gals. David was very good with communication throughout my entire case. He emailed my promptly and explained everything that was going on in terms that I understood. I was charged with a DUI 2nd offense and he was able to get it dropped to a DUI 1st offense which meant that I went from 7 days of jail time to NONE! He answered all my questions, sent invoices so I knew what I way paying for and took care of EVERYTHING for me! He also cost HALF the price of other people I was looking at! Very impressed with his law firm!

This guys is a fantastic lawyer. Over the years I’ve had quite a few minor run ins with the law and worked with multiple attorneys. Some decent, some just plain awful.. This time was different. I was charged with a felony and was facing some serious time. My case didn’t look good I was terrified and the worst part about it was this time I was innocent. I needed someone prepared to go to trial and fight hard for me. I did a lot of research, came up with a list of criminal defense attorneys that were highly rated in Iowa on and offline. After calling every attorney on that list Dave stood out to me the most. I felt he truly understood my situation and wanted to win this case. Not only is Mark incredibly knowledgeable, but he is truly an excellent communicator and highly personable. A rare combination. I do not live in Iowa City and so when we needed legal help, I searched for reviews and recommendations. I read great reviews and found them to be 100% accurate. I would also add that Mark has a very good working relationship with other attorneys and judges which I think also simplified our case. He definitely had the best interest of his client in mind and was very quick and very direct, which I respect. We had the best possible outcome, but it could very easily have gone a different direction without Mark's guidance and expertise.

I needed to retain Mark for an unfortunate circumstance regarding a family member. Mark went above and beyond in helping us with all our legal matters. From a legal standpoint everything was explained clearly to us, and everything turned out as Mr.. Thompson said it would. Actually BETTER than what was expected. Mark clearly told us some of what he would shoot for was a longshot - but he came through for the family. I was Mr. Pollack's client; and a licensed practicing attorney myself, a Stanford Law School graduate with over 25 years experience in the law. I only called because of the reviews I read. However my experience was quit different. I tried to be thorough as possible, providing as much info in less than 3 minutes. His response was immediately to judge the client and make prejudged notions. I immediately corrected him because he was wrong, he hadn’t had all the facts. He became irate suggesting what I need to do with a public defender. I simply thanked him and ended the conversation because the qualities put forth was definitely not what I was looking for. Now a days it’s so hard to expect the best of people when you can’t help but think your getting the short end of the stick simply because of race.
