I wrote the review below about two years ago. I feel it now appropriate to update my review. Everything I said before stands just as true today as it did two years ago. In fact, Mr. Buitron has continued to represent me in and out of court these past two years. His performance has remained beyond reproach. To reiterate, his pleasant, calm demeanor makes every interaction with the court or other attorneys an absolute delight! And, yes, we were victorious in every proceeding, just as before! This past spring, Mr. Buitron was principally responsible for having the county court overturn a mistaken felony conviction. The record was expunged and sealed! In fact, without going into detail, this was the first time in over 20 years that a conviction of this sort was vacated! The court proceeding took under ten minutes and the judge didn't hesitate for even a moment to overturn the conviction. So, once again, if you need a forthright, honest, hard working attorney, Mr. Buitron is the attorney to counsel and represent you. Mr. Buitron has been my attorney since August, 2012. He has counselled me and aided me with several legal issues and has represented me with a variety of government agencies as well as in Court. Steve Buitron has represented me in multiple family court proceedings as well as a separate civil matter. I was stopped by a NY state trooper for speeding on my way back to Canada right before the border crossing on I-81 in Mar. 2020. (Please be mindful about the signs of reducing speed. Information: As a social justice advocate I believe that it’s critical that predators working as parole officers are exposed for who they are…. Parole officers are not suppose to address a parolee family members by anything other than Mr. or Mrs. They are not suppose to go to a parolee home and stay there talk about their personal lives and attempt to sleep with the parent, walk in the home before the parent could say no, tell the parent that they want to hangout with them and want them to call when they need anything. There job is to supervise the parolee, not the parent, nothing personal, making the parent feel unsafe, making her feel like she has to go along with something so nothing happens to her or her child behind her rejecting his advances. It is my responsibility to call out on the predator because he is not the only one that continue to do what he does. I will personally be assisting the mother to pursue whatever action she deems fit at this point in time. Justice will be served on the officer who I am unable to name at this time. No parole officer has the right to use his power and authority to get his personal needs met! This predator use his position as a way to manipulate and predatorize a mother and when he couldn’t get what he wanted, he proceeded to contact his supervisor to inform them that he was feeling a little uncomfortable with some of the personal information that the mother was sharing, however, he was sharing information about his life and his daughter and telling her where he think she should relocate to as a way to get her to trust him and to sleep with him, He was unethical and certainly unprofessional and now all of a sudden he is feeling uncomfortable? No he was manipulative, dishonest, cunning and deceitful and made her fear for her safety because of his position as a parole officer.

I'm from PA, was stopped for speeding in NY State. The Officers' ran my information and on return informed me my driving privilege's were suspended in NYS from a 1993 incident. Had no clue I was suspended in NY, in 1993 I had a 90 day suspension. Turns out NYS DVM requires a $25 fee to re-instate your driving privilege's before a suspension is lifted. This was just a little something the DMV and State forgot to mention. I was charged with speeding and driving under suspension. I contacted the James Riotto Law Office to represent me, they were wonderful. I did not need to appear in any court or hearing as they appeared for me and residing 2 hours away in PA, that was worth the Attorney's fee. When it was all settled and finished, I agreed to pay $250 for a Defensive Driving course and all charges were dismissed. In total it cost me around $750, considering I was facing thousands of dollars in fines, points on my license, increased insurance premiums and a misdemeanor charge, the Riotto Law Firm did an excellent job. Charged us $7500 to retain.. James tyner refused bail for a client basically leaving him in jail until he was ready! Never returned calls or emails at all! Also he had me meet him on a day their office was closed in a dark parking lot where the office is located with his wife and child just to get money for retainment fee! Very unprofessional!
