He was no question the worst attorneys I’ve ever come in contact with. He did nothing for my boyfriends case. He never once believed him when he said he was innocent. He demanded and was Paid an insane amount of money. He allowed the court to put out a failure to appear warrant on my Boyfriend bc he never showed up for a court date he scheduled three weeks prior. He wasn’t even the one to catch the error. My boyfriend fired him after a year of zero work done by him and hired a new attorney. when that new attorney went to work on his case it was dropped by the DA within three weeks. I found out later he never even talked to the DA. My boyfriend has demanded a refund to which he should adhere bc he’s seriously looking into a malpractice lawsuit. I have proof you were his lawyer And he’s already sent you a certified letter asking for the refund, and you weren’t in the office to receive it and a notice was left for you to pick up and you never did. Surprise surprise. We will be redelivering it.

Peter represented my brother for 3 aggravated assault w/deadly weapon cases in Dallas County. He has lost and an appeal. He is a liar. He does not contact you or keep you posted about the cases. You have to contact him. He’s very rude and will take your money. If you need legal help. I would advise you not to go to him. He lost my husband appeal. Who is serving a life sentence for his first offense ever. He’s never been to prison. We paid $15,000 to John helms just to get denied an appeal that he supposedly never lost. That’s a lie. He has lost. Think twice if you need legal help I would not recommend this lawyer at all. Very disrespectful. Do NOT hire this firm, they are a total rip off, I fired them due to their inability to communicate or tell me what was going on with my case, they only contacted me for money, literally they give me 5 minutes to make a decision before walking into the courtroom. Mr McConathy is great at convincing you to hire him by scaring you to death he will pressure you and put the iron claws in you to scare to into hiring them and then they overbill you and do nothing. Well to sum this up. They don’t communicate very much unless they need a payment. I literally drove up there to see what was going on with my case because i had not heard anything in over 2-3 months. My first felony ever and I decided to stick it out with them and boy was I lucky. The judge was lenient with my charge because i worked with law enforcement upon questioning. (The judges exact words) And upon questioning my lawyer about the process and what is happening he was getting antsy and got irritated because i wasn’t knowledgeable about what exactly happens through the legal system. I’m sorry I didn’t attend college to get my law degree. But didn’t you get your degree to actually help people and test the laws and see wether or not they were upheld? Or did you just get the degree for the money? Regardless I had gotten what I wanted (deferred adjudication) but would I return to them? Probably not. Pay them if you want but once they have your money and sign the contract don’t expect nothing more than a phone call to pay up every month. And make a decision 5 minutes before going into court for the final decision. Sorry if yall expected a 5 star review for me getting what I wanted but I was expecting a lot more for $5,000.
