Worst place to spend money at. I came to James for a criminal case, first off the guy who took my payment was sweet enough to tip himself 100 from my money. James was unresponsive, and unactive during the case. Later he lied to my dad (whos main language is Spanish) got him to plead guilty unknowingly. I did let him know my dad needed a Spanish speaking rep through it all. James was also super kind to work with the DEA, giving my dad the most time possible, and tried to also form a case against me. ICE paid a visit to my house looking for me thanks to this man. Thankfully my dad got a state appointed attorney within 4 months of hiring James and was able to do soo much for him. Unfortunately, I lost almost 10k of my hard earned money. What took me 3 years to save, took this guy less than a month to earn.

He has lost and an appeal. He is a liar. He does not contact you or keep you posted about the cases. You have to contact him. He’s very rude and will take your money. If you need legal help. I would advise you not to go to him. He lost my husband appeal. Who is serving a life sentence for his first offense ever. He’s never been to prison. We paid $15,000 to John helms just to get denied an appeal that he supposedly never lost. That’s a lie. He has lost. Think twice if you need legal help I would not recommend this lawyer at all. Very disrespectful. If you want to win you’re an appeal I recommend finding another lawyer not one that’s going to post he’s never lost because he has so there’s no telling how many other ones he’s lost.

Hired her for a speeding ticket, did not follow up with my court, a warrant arrest has been issued and she did not inform me. In a traffic stop, after coming back from a 12 hours work-shift, officer told me about the warrant. Following up with her, she cut me a very unfavorable deal with court (12 hours of community service + 6 months of probation + full Ticket price) for 1 speeding ticket.

He was no question the worst attorneys I’ve ever come in contact with. He did nothing for my boyfriends case. He never once believed him when he said he was innocent. He demanded and was Paid an insane amount of money. He allowed the court to put out a failure to appear warrant on my Boyfriend bc he never showed up for a court date he scheduled three weeks prior. He wasn’t even the one to catch the error. My boyfriend fired him after a year of zero work done by him and hired a new attorney. when that new attorney went to work on his case it was dropped by the DA within three weeks. I found out later he never even talked to the DA. My boyfriend has demanded a refund to which he should adhere bc he’s seriously looking into a malpractice lawsuit. I have proof you were his lawyer And he’s already sent you a certified letter asking for the refund, and you weren’t in the office to receive it and a notice was left for you to pick up and you never did. Surprise surprise. We will be redelivering it.

Peter represented my brother for 3 aggravated assault w/deadly weapon cases in Dallas County. Peter always reassured us to call any time we needed something. “Any day at any time, if you need me, call me.” His knowledge of the court system, personnel, and the law reassured us that we had chosen the best attorney. He was able to immediately get the district attorney to offer a 10 year probation sentence even though my brother had a previous criminal record. In the end, my brother chose to do a shorter sentence in TDC and Peter made it happen! 2 years flat, no parole or probation after on 3 cases that initially carried a minimum 5 year sentence for each case!
