Me being honest, I was concerned about being assigned a court appointed attorney while in custody since I wasn’t fully aware of the difference between state and federal court at the time. They let you know where you need to spend money and where you don’t. Zena is a beast. She doesn’t put up with much and if she has to she will give right back. I was forced to sit in a informal hearing and get slandered for what felt like forever. Zena came out in 15 mins and shut em down. Ended with a favorable result. My one star rating is because of the lack of communication. Unfortunately, it was like pulling teeth to get in contact with them when I did have a question. I was given misinformation twice and some vital information was never communicated to me at all. We were handed off to multiple attorneys, and given completely different information by each of them. I am still waiting for a phone call from the law firm that I was supposed to receive two weeks ago. I have given up, I genuinely wish I would have taken my money elsewhere. I was also told that when I paid my fees in full, that everything was taken care of, even if they needed to return to court. When the time came to go back, I was told that they usually charge for that service, (I had already paid for it) but would waive the fee if I gave them a 5 star google review... So in short, bad communication, lack of consistency, and misinformation is why I will not be using Dunham & Jones again in the future. I hope this helps someone else. The reason they have so many good reviews is because they tell people they will owe them more money if they do not comply. ***UPDATE - a representative from the firm has since reached out to resolve this matter, going so far as to offer to replace my representative with another attorney from the firm. I do appreciate the attempt on their behalf to correct this situation, and will be in communication with them over the next month to try and resolve this matter.
