The outcome of my divorce was mostly determined by me with negotiations with my former spouse so for litigation, I have no review. My issue was attention to detail. My financial affidavit was incorrect when returned to me, even though I provided the correct information, then I was charged the time it took them to revise the affidavit. Once I made an offer for my attorney to provide to opposing counsel, the offer sent did not have all the the details I requested and when my attorney sent opposing counsel the amendment, I was charged for the additional time for his mistake. My attorney told me that opposing counsel was going to schedule the hearing to get the divorce finalized, then his staff sent me a date for me to attend. When I responded with his previous email stating opposing counsel was to schedule and attend the hearing he apparently forgot about it and never mentioned it to opposing counsel as I had to remind them I was never informed of a date. Finally, after the hearing was completed I had to request my final documentation because they did not follow up to provide me with that until I reminded them. The cost was substantial for the service and poor quality. Once your case is complete they will send you an additional bill to close out your file. The firm might be effective if they were genuinely as concerned for their client as they are for their charges. I would not recommend this firm. For what you will pay, I believe there is better counsel.

I didn't receive the service i paid for. I paid over 20 thousand dollars for my divorce and Mr. Knellinger sent a newbie to mediation with me. I received NO alimony or compensation for years of marriage, housewife, co-business owner etc. MR. Knellinger is all about the man NOT helping women! He made me feel like i was worthless throughout the process. He had me doing a lot of busy work for lies and BS!!GRRRR!

Your firm is the only one ever that I have seen charge the client for calls to the client. You are a very poor representation of an law office especially since you were told at the beginning that your contact would be with the wife and you have removed some of the charges but not all of them for speaking to your own clients. You have done absolutely nothing but copy information onto an already filled out document that any human being can do themselves and spent less than 3 minutes at a courthouse. Did many things we asked you not to do and wasted our time and yours but want to say you used $4500 and charging for more time. I would say to anyone interested here to beware what they are getting themselves into.

Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. This law firm has a very high turn over rate and you’ll get shifted from one attorney to the next (which you’ll then have to pay $$$ for another attorney to get familiar with your case). If you need an aggressive attorney, I do not recommend Ellen Ball. She will do what she wants with your case, even if you directly tell her in writing that you don’t agree/want to go that route. She will do the bare minimum and is definitely not a shark. You need an attorney you can trust to advocate for you and your family...she is NOT it. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

I was not happy to read the lies that I received today and what she was fighting on our court hearing. It was not even proven that I really threatened the father that I will disappear with my child. The father didn’t have a chance to talk. Why would I go to the court to ask the judge permission to relocate my child if I can only disappear?! Where is your logic??? It is clear that you are just after the money that he pay. What kind of integrity you have? You still stand on this lies even if he don’t make sense with his accusations. All for money! Tracey has been such a blessing. After having a terrible experience with my first attorney, she has been able to turn things around and accomplish what was needed in relation to our custody issues. She's straight forward and to the point, which I greatly appreciate. And she carries that into the courtroom. She doesn't allow her or her client to be walked on, and isn't afraid to speak up or call someone out when needed. I always hear back from her or her legal secretary within 48 hours, if not sooner. And, in my opinion, is very fair with her billing. As for the negative reviews, I haven't experienced any of those things with her. I can't speak highly enough of her and her services. If you want a lawyer that communicates with you, you Need to keep Looking ! I just terminated my services with Tracey for the following reasons: 95% of the time I emailed her, I received an auto reply "out of the office"! She is either out of the office, out of the state, and often out of the country! She would claim to be in trial, even when I had a pre trial scheduled with her! She didn't let me know it was on zoom. And she emailed me just 2 hours before to say it was canceled. She and my ex husband's attorney signed off on it to go to 2nd mediation. Fishy!! And I had NO knowledge of it!! When you speak with her at Consultation She acts like she will fight for you & your kids, but after you hire her, that a quickly goes away! She drug my case out for over a year for her own financial gain! I have 4 children, 3 of whom I'm fighting for their protection, and she could care less! I've had phone calls scheduled with her in which she did not even talk to me, because, she was "out of the office" even when our call was scheduled!. I feel bad for her secretaries, because they have to constantly cover up for her! 70% of the time I was clueless about what was going on in my case, because of her lack of communication and her being extremely difficult to get in touch with.

DO NOT PUT YOUR TRUST IN THIS ATTORNEY. I hired Ms. Haswell to help me get time sharing with my daughter, who I have not been allowed to see for over 2 years now. I live in a different state than she does so I was forced to get an attorney where she lives. After hiring her, the petition was filed in the wrong county, twice, even though I clearly explained to her exactly which county my daughter lived in and specified where her mother worked and could be served during the initial consultation. It took two months to even get the paperwork filed in the correct county and served to my child's mother. Once she was served, she answered with a ton of false accusations and claims, to which Ms. Haswell did not respond or defend. She did not communicate her plan of action, her office failed to meet deadlines and give any sort of feedback or direction as to what was going on. Multiple calls and emails asking what the plan was moving forward and what needed to be done in order to get this moving were met with cookie cutter responses to stall and drain more money out of me. They allowed the other party to miss deadlines to submit documents by multiple weeks before even discussing filing motions to compel. I had to basically threaten to fire them before they would file one after my case sat for months with no movement due to the other party not submitting documents. The last straw was when I had a deadline to turn over some records to her to send to the other party, I sent it to her paralegal 2 weeks before it was due. 2 days after it was due (after receiving no confirmation, as usual) when I called to verify that it had been filed in time, the paralegal had not even opened the email. I retained her back in April, here we are in November, after she has used up $2,100 and done NOTHING except get the other party served. No mediation, no motion for temporary relief, no parenting plan...absolutely nothing, after telling me during the initial consultation that I should have time sharing with my daughter "in a few months." The cherry on top is that when I decided to fire her, of course my remaining balance in trust went from $1,800 to $920, even without all the bogus charges she tacked on after being fired, there is still money unaccounted for. Basically spent $1,900 for her to file my paperwork and give me the run around for $350 an hour. So glad to be rid of these crooks. Do not use them.

Very Ethical and knowledgeable and wise lady. One of those people which is hard to find these days! I had her helping me for a prenup agreement and she did send me one and she honored a very good price. But then she made changes to it to make it custom. Now, this other lawyer for my spouse tried to scare her and try to protect her and then asked 4x the money of the original agreement to modify it!!! Honest lawyer: Leslie Smith Haswell Shark lawyer: other one My opinion: Leslie sleeps better at night and enjoys her life much better than the shark one. God bless her.

I worked with Ms. Swanson and Darcy on a guardianship case for my son. They were extremely compassionate while working on a very difficult situation. They have taken the time to listen to my concerns and explain things in a clear and concise matter. Ms. Swanson even sent me some research that she pulled up on another case because she remembered I had similar issues. I think what I like most about this law firm is there honesty and integrity. They were very honest about my chances and explained the downside of certain decisions. I am certain that had I elected to pursue this matter, she would have fought hard for my side and I can think of no one else I would want in my corner had I made that decision. Gerald Wilkerson is an amazing attorney he is always thinking of good ways to help you navigate extremely tough issues when dealing with family issues.
