Paola Parra Harris in deed is a good and knowledgeable attorney when hired her for a simple divorce. The rating of 2 is for the handling of my case. She was hired for a simple divorce that took nearly a year to resolve. I was very patient in finalizing my divorce, despite the staff turnover, misuse of my money , and not providing updates on the case. She transferred my case to another attorney (PJ) several weeks prior to my medication after additional money was requested. PJ failed to due diligence, understand, communication and to accomplish client's goals. She had absolutely no knowledge of my case prior to mediation. Communication with a client is the cornerstone of the client/attorney relationship. The divorce was done poorly , She didn't use the best practice in communicating/ preparation . Paola failed to resolve this issue prior to reaching out to Tallahassee for help. I writing this reviewing in hoping it help some innocent person that good lawyers can also make a mistake by transferring their cases to other attorneys that may not be prepared to handle. Proper and thorough preparation is a key ingredient to a case. I do recommend this firm . Thank you

I can’t say enough times how thankful I am for Parra Harris Law helping me with my divorce. I needed someone on my side. I was with another attorney who was not out for the best interest of my son or I (and never knew who I was when I called). Dear friends of mine put me in contact with Paola the week before Christmas. She was out of town on holiday vacation she called and talked to me and then called her office and had them get me in as I had issues going on that needed immediate attention. Let me remind you this was the week before Christmas. The staff scheduled me an appointment to meet with Mercedes (one of the amazing attorneys in this firm). We sat down and talked, and she agreed to help me and look out for my son's interests as well as mine. Mediation day came and Oh My Goodness... Mercedes represented me so well, she looked over all of the details, kept me from being reactionary in a super emotionally charged situation, and what was supposed to be a 4-hour mediation turned into a nearly 8-hour mediation. Mercedes was amazing in how she handled everything even helping me make sure all of the documents were in order. The Staff and Attorneys at Parra Harris Law are amazing. I met Paola after the divorce was over at a dinner one night (my first time actually meeting her), and she asked how things went. I was overwhelmed with gratitude to someone who helped me during such a critical time, helped me while she was on vacation, made sure I was able to have representation, and she remembered me and the situation (which I will be honest I was not expecting)! I was divorced in 2013 in Florida and was represented by Michael Phillips. The details of my experience are horrific. Michael missed many key points and at times I wondered if he any time at all preparing for my case. I spent over $30,000 in attorney fees and ended up paying my ex-spouse $6900 at first with only 2 of 4 of my children in the house even though we lived on $6000 a month with6 people in the house. I had to pay 3 years of bridge the gap even though the law states it should be a maximum of 2 years. The opposing attorney incorrectly stated my salary and Michael did not catch that. This list goes on and on. Do not hire Michael. You are way better off representing yourself. I am a real person that had my life destroyed as a result of this divorce.

Michael Phillips may not be the only family law attorney in Jacksonville, however when it comes to your family legal matters, he is the only one you want representing you. Michael helped me with a modification in child support which also involved other aspects, as family law often does. He was everything I needed in a lawyer. He was compassionately kind with me during the rough moments, knew how to encourage me to persevere through the process, and had a comforting strength that allowed me to put my faith entirely in him. At the initial consultation he told me exactly how we were going to win the case and he did exactly that. He got me everything I wanted and more. He has a wonderful legal assistant, Katy, who was so helpful with everything and literally has the patience of a saint. I recommend Michael highly to any man or women in need of a family law attorney. He is simply the best, bar none.

Ms. Perez was a very understanding, compassionate, professional, and considerate of the conditions of my separation and eventual divorce from my husband of nearly 20 years. When I first spoke to David I was in the middle of 2 paternity case that a previous attorney could not maintain. I mentioned to David the specifics of both cases and the amount of debt I had already accumulated fighting 2 paternity cases. David assured me I would get an amazing outcome in the end with the best rate possible. David then introduced me to Boris and his team who took over both paternity cases and handled them flawlessly. At one point, I thought I was going to have to settle with a small fraction of rights to my kids and a fortune of debt.I now can say I have majority time-sharing with my son and have equal rights with my daughter without a huge bill in the end. Boris is still maintaining small logistics with both cases but I can truly say I finally get to enjoy my children.

Beth Luna really did a fantastic job with my divorce. It was unfortunately an extremely messy one with restraining orders, difficulty having the second party sign papers and worse a child was involved. Beth was able to help with absolutely everything, she is a skilled attorney and an attorney with real feelings. It is still unusual for a father to gain full custody of his daughter, but she was able to do this through her knowledge of law and experience. I hope to never need her services for something like this again, but if I did Beth Luna is the only one I would call. If you need the best, you should contact her. I am very grateful for everything she has done.
