I hope I never have to go through the pain of a divorce again. However, if I did, I would never select Weinberger law firm even if the retainer was free. My initial meeting with Kourtney I thought I made the right decision with selecting my attorney. She had crystals placed on her desk which I recently got into since separating from my husband. Once the legal process started, I began to experiment the lack of urgency and slowness to respond from Kourtney. I would make it very clear in my emails when I needed a response. I understood I was not Kourtney’s only client. Once my ex-husband responded to the divorce petition it was discovered his attorney and Kourtney worked together. The way these two women went back and forth with each other were unprofessional and quite embarrassing. I had to tell Kourtney to please not copy me on these emails as it is not good for my mental health. I had only been married for 3.5 years which the divorce took a little over a year. I was so happy to not only put an end to this divorce from my ex but to also be done with my attorney. The divorce hearing came up rather fast which I thought. Unbeknownst to me, Kourtney and her paralegal had been in discussions with potential dates with opposing counsel. However, they failed to let me know. I am so glad to have this chapter behind me and not have to deal with this law firm and my ex!

I called on 10/16/20 and made an appointment for a consultation for a family law matter. When I researched them I found them to be what I thought I was looking for. I was very wrong. I made the appointment for 10/22 @ 4pm. I received multiple reminder emails about the appointment. I left early from work on the day of the appointment so I could make sure I was home and could give them my full attention. I had notes and questions so I could be efficient with there time as I knew this was a free consultation. Needless to say 4pm came and went without a phone call or any type of communication whatsoever. I decided to call there office and see if the lawyer I was told would be calling was available. The receptionist was short and and not helpful. I told her why I was calling and she just said I will connect you with her voicemail. I left a message and still never received a call or any type of reason why I was completely ignored. I am now left with scrambling to try and schedule with another firm and try to get the help I need. I guess there to busy to keep there appointments or at least reschedule them. Very unprofessional.

Theresa was my attorney. During my process she wasnt just a lawyer she was a friend. She cared about my family "my boys" just as much as I did. When I felt down like I didn't have a chance she was reassuring, confident and empathetic. Hopefully I never have to go through this process again, but if I did I would never in a million years use a different attorney. She won my case and my heart.

Best experience. I live in Washington and was served custody in New Jersey. I searched, made multiple calls and kept getting referred to Kisha Hebbon. Soon as I called and spoke with her for 5 min. I knew I found the custody attorney I needed. Being 2500 miles away and a 3 hour time zone difference. Everything worked out. I flew in, and Kesha meet me at the court house all ready. Within 3 hours, my ex and I came to an agreement that was a win for both and our kids. I believe this all happened, because of Kisha. She was known by the judge, the other attorney. Everyone knew her and knew she knows the law, in and out. If you need someone on your side. No matter how far away you live. Call Kisha. Well worth it.

I had a child support/custody case with my daughters father and from the beginning she was always very helpful and upfront and she even was very encouraging in telling us to work it out of court if possible. The day of the trial she was very professional and also explained everything so that I would understand what was going on. At one point she even encouraged me and my daughters father to sit and talk alone and we actually came up with a verbal agreement and we were able to resolve our issue out of the court system. Highly recommend Kisha to anyone who needs her services.

Frank LaRocca has been my attorney for a decade. Divorce is not an easy process and has many unexpected turns that can be frightening. I was divorced in 2007 and fortunate to have Rosanne Detorres, Esquire as my attorney. Her knowledge, professionalism and unwavering strength helped me tremendously in navigating through the legal aspects of divorce at a most difficult time in my life. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive the agreed upon Support and over time the arrearages kept accruing. I attempted to enforce the past due support and represented myself due to lack of funds to no avail. In 2020 both of the X’s parents were deceased and as a beneficiary to his parents trust would be receiving a great deal of money. I notified New Jersey Child Support, Hunterdon County Probation along with Los Angeles Child Support staff & attorney’s and an attorney in California whom I hired on Contingency who have attempted to collect the arrearages on my behalf over time. During the process, I hired Carolyn Hand, Esquire from D & D in February 2021 to assist in a matter regarding Retroactive Termination of Support. Carolyn was extremely kind and compassionate. Her recommendation was an honest assessment of the situation and helped to create the best plan to end 15 years of attempts on my part to collect the Support that is due. Although it was necessary for me to negotiate the Spousal Support, I will receive the Child Support in full. Everything has worked out for the best and am thankful for the ability to finally find closure after many years thanks to all the support and kindness of all involved.

I'm in the middle of divorce and had to change my lawyer as he is not representing me but rather his own interests. It's middle of Christmas and nobody cares... Nobody that is other than Mindy and Carolyn. I called the office of DeTorres and DeGeorge after reading great reviews online posted about Carolyn Hand. Mindy the paraprofessional went out of her way to call the attorney right away (even though they were all gone for the holidays), she told me she is not going to let me go until she can help! It truly takes a heart to take away from your holiday time to help somebody else! Thank you Mindy!!! Divorces are hard and knowing that somebody that doesn't even know you is doing whatever they can to help is a very different than what I got from other law firms. Carolyn was amazing by agreeing to talk to me in expediated fashion (not when she had next available appointment) just because she wants to help! I’m looking forward to working with them and truly hope that if the first impression is any indication of what’s to come me and my children will be in the best hands! Thank you!!!

Professional Law Firm with a best in class track record. The previous review I have chosen to rescind. I did not retain DeTorres and DeGeorge, in the end our family matters in estate planning were resolved with the family attorney, however, Roseanne and Erin's esoteric comprehension and superior knowledge of the Law combined with years of experience would be productive to any high net worth client seeking estate planning and/or marital splits. Roseanne personally took my call on a Saturday and professionally navigated each of my inquiries and while I pushed for her services to be retained, my grandfather was set in his decision to use his long time friend. In either case, this firm is staffed by wonderful people who at the end of the day ensure the enforcement of equality while discreetly handling their client's situations. Highly recommend.

After enduring through years of hell in an abusive marriage and finally being able to break away, a friend sought the legal guidance of this group. Unfortunately for her, this group dragged out the process and charged her for emails and phones calls repeating what was previously discussed and understood as if they never had the conversation to begin with. After thousands of dollars and unmet deadlines my friend disclosed to how the process with this group was almost as bad as her marriage. I will not recommend this group to a single person and will express my disdain for the way they operate to anyone who inquires about them. They should be ashamed of the way they handled my friend and her awful, heartbreaking experience before she came to them for help. And they should be even more so ashamed of how they took advantage of her through the painful process afterward. I would give zero stars

Lois is a unique blend of the consummate professional as well as real & approachable. She kept my interests and the interests of our children in mind at all times. There is no substitute for experience at a time like this and Lois certainly has plenty of it. Lois, represents my godson with a child visitation/custody issue. (I went with my godson for moral support. Unfortunately, he was blindsided by his ex's infidelity, after being together for 15 yrs. The two of them have one child 1st grade age. I had a similar issue with custody and visitation, in the mid 90's, when my ex wanted total control, like his does, regardless of how our children were to be affected.) We were both skeptical about him having a female attorney represent him. Pleasantly, we both learned quickly, how wrong we both were. Lois, is smart, tough and if you have a child involved, their best advocate is having her fighting for you and your child. Regardless of what nonsense has been dished out to my godson, from his ex, Lois, has been able to successfully handle and move forward with a good plan in response. Also, Lois has advised him with a good plan for a future matter. I like Lois's years of experience. She's able to review what you present to her and then explain the law, your rights and then formulates a good plan. We started off skeptical and gained respect for her. Additionally, we've come to genuinely like her as a person. Although Lois is straight to the point, she has no issue with reassuring you, without babying you. Due to her experience, she has really seen and dealt with it all and can provide her honest assessment of what you're dealing with. I like that she is a fighter who doesn't see gender. Regardless, if you're male or female, I truly believe she only cares about the child involved. If you're wrong, she'll tell you. However, she will explain why you're in error, through the eyes of the law. This is something you need in an emotional time, like separation, visitation/custody. You need to have knowledge where you stand so you can make good decisions for your child and yourself. Having Lois explain how the Court will review certain actions, you sit there and realize what she is saying makes total sense. Due to emotions running high because of these circumstances, its easy to lose focus. Lois, doesn't hold your hand, and believe me you don't want her to, she'll stand right next to you the whole way making sure, the best she can the nonsense stops. You want someone who is smart, experienced and able to apply the law and then be able to explain in layman's terms to you. Leaving you to be able to understand exactly what she means and how she would like to proceed. Lois, doesn't waste time either. When you contact her, she will return communications promptly. Additionally, the first time my godson and I met her, she was going to write a letter to send to his ex. The first draft was in his email by the time we arrived back to his home an hour later. Lois truly impressed the both of us after our first meeting. This woman is on point and I bet in court can spin circles around others with less experience. (Thankfully, my godson hasn't had to deal with a judge. However, we're both confident if he does have to appear before a judge, Lois is the only attorney he wants fighting for him and his child.) If you're trying to decide who to get to represent you with a Family Court issue, Lois, is who you want on your side, especially, if their is a child involved. Try and have your facts prepared, not just your emotions. If too emotional, wait until you're able to calm down and present your issues. Otherwise, will take longer for Lois to understand what issues you're really concerned with. Answer her questions, listen to her and let her formulate a plan with you, for whats best for your child and yourself. Lois, includes you with every step she takes. If you want to change something Lois has written in a draft communication, or add to the communication, she's more than accommodating, as to allow you to be understood and heard. If you do choose Lois as your attorney, you too will not be disappointed. With her experience and knowledge, Lois is a formidable opponent to your ex and whomever their attorney is.

Amy is the most unprofessional attorney that I have worked with. Furthermore, after she did not win her case she had her staff use fake email addresses to post negative reviews about my firm. I would strongly advise any potential client in need of legal services to look elsewhere. She comes off as someone that is on your side and when things do not go her way, look out. She forces her team to do unprofessional tasks in order to punish those who do not go along with her demands. She is unstable and an abrasive person.
