5.0 star rating In 2019, my son was arrested and was accused of a serious crime. His case was deemed "difficult to defend". My son was looking at life in prison and I needed to find a great lawyer to help him. We looked at some lawyers but then we saw the Law Offices of Shaun Khojayan & Associates. We immediately called and was greeted by Gracie. She was kind, helpful, and understood our emotions. She set an appointment for us to meet with Shaun Khojayan. Once we meet with him we knew he was the one that would defend my son. He was very helpful and we were delighted to hear that he was able to take on the case. We hired him and it was the best decision I made for my son. During the preliminary hearing, he and his wife did an amazing job defending my son and found inconsistency in his case. After the preliminary hearing, Shaun wrote to the D.A to dismiss his case, and then we waited. While we waiting to hear back from the D.A we entered the COVID pandemic and my son's court dates were delayed. Despite the many delays, Shaun constantly stayed in contact with my family for updates and we appreciated the communication on his part. His hard work paid off when my son got a miracle deal. His letter worked, and my son was released from jail. He was able to return home after 13 months. We are so thankful to Shaun and his law firm for working hard to defend my son's case. Shaun, First and foremost we would like to say that without your help, knowledgeable advice and dedication we would not be able to enjoy the new life that we have now been granted. For many years my father and I have been terrified that one day this would still be hanging over his head and possibly lose the opportunity of our family being whole. During the hearing we were nervous and terrified, even after hearing the word granted we still weren’t sure what exactly was going on. So I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to write something about lawyer, Max Gorby. I’m a UCLA student and I got into a little mess a few months back for having one too many mojitos and trying to drive to my girlfriend’s parents house in Tarzana. To make this very long and sad story short, Max got my sentence reduced to a wet reckless. Considering what I was facing, the guy is a magician! Thanks Max!!!

Hired them to do a post-conviction case review (which, to be fair, was decently thorough) and it was supposed to be applied towards any legal work. They ended up wanting to refer us to another counsel after the person whose case it is got upset about the options being presented and expressed this verbally, but not disrespectfully, over the phone to the case manager. They did NOT honor the agreement that the case review investment would be applied to future legal work. They also had another staff member call by proxy to give us this news, rather than having the case manager involved call us directly. This brings up the question: if you can't handle a little heat, how in the world are you going to be fighters in Court? Quick to take the money, but short on empathy or tolerance in understanding people's situations.

Another person posted the pros and cons of this firm and some of them I agree with and some of them I disagree with. The original post is below and at the end I'll give my opinion where I agree and disagree. "Here are the honest PROS and CONS of Spolin Law. READ THIS FIRST if you are thinking of hiring them. PRO: They do criminal law appeals and seem to know this material well. Their posts indicate that cases have multiple attorneys assigned. Always better to have a team of lawyers than just one person. There is an actual support staff helping on cases They have a ton of success stories in the media, so it looks like they can get results. Just google "Spolin Law client walks free" for one example. CON: They are not a generalist firm that can just handle anything, like dui, immigration, suing the government and that type of stuff. They are not a guarantee that you will win. Some firms in other areas of law can guarantee success, like a business incorporation attorney. They don't seem to work for free. A recent law school graduate might be more willing to take on a free case for publicty, but it doesn't seem like they need publicity. This is not the cheap dollar-store option. " I agree with some but not all of this. I agree with most of the general points but I disagree with two things listed here. Disagreement number one is that they say a person can not guarantee success in criminal law but that is not true because you could have a great case and know that you are going to win like the OJ Simpson case where there were five or six expensive lawyers for OJ and they were bound to win from the start if you think about it. Disagreement number two is that you can not rely on other posts to know how many attorneys are assigned to a case, because seeing stuff in the media where there were multiple attorneys does not mean that every case has multiple attorneys.

I highly recommend Spolin Law! Attorney Aaron is an amazing person and extremely responsible for his client. I had an dispute with my former client and caused some trouble to my firm. And he would listen to my side of the story and patiently guided me through the whole complicated legal process. He is very knowledgeable in terms of insurance law and gave me priceless advice during every process. More importantly, he, for the whole time, has been extremely proactive on my case. He always made contact, followed up and kept me updated with the status of the case. I can imagine that he has done a great deal of work and explanation on behalf of my firm to deal with the prosecutor. Eventually he got my case dismissed. 5 Stars are way not enough to value his constant professionalism, profound experience and excellent service!

HIRE THIS ATTORNEY!! TRUST ME!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!! I hired Ron Hoffman and his law firm for a hit and run defense in which I probably shouldn't have been able to get the charges dropped, but Ron and his team were able to get me off the free and clear. His team was amazing in every step of the process. The were in constant contact with me, charged me a very fair rate, handled all the paperwork, walked me through how to deal with my insurance company, worked with me when times got tough and money was tight and were so amazingly supportive. I could not find an attorney that was going to help me for a fair price and Ron and his team took me on and it was the best decision I could have made. My personal experience with Mr. Ron Hoffman and his Paralegal Joanie was far from amazing! When I called them for the first time I was going into a panic attack mode. Ron is very knowledgeable of the law and of his profession and Ron and Joanie got on my case right away and it was a friday evening when I called. In 2019 I was arrested in Pasadena facing 25 years. this was my first time ever being arrested or charged with a crime, and I had 5 felonies. I thought my life was over. The first 3 times I went to (Pasadena) court I was assigned a public defender, who was not only extremely busy with other cases, but also did not seem to believe that I was telling the truth. After speaking with other inmates I had my father contact the Shouse Law Group, where I was placed in contact with attorney Karthik Krishnan. He immediately set up a meeting to come and visit me, where I explained my situation. Unlike with my public defender I really felt that Karthik wanted to help me, and that he would do everything in his power to help me. Within 2 weeks we had made more progress than in the previous 3 months, and my outlook on the situation began to change. I remember one day Karthik was visiting me, and he could see that I was very stressed. He asked what I was concerned about, and I explained that I was loosing hope and that I didn’t know if I would ever see the outside would again. After patiently listening Karthik then explained his step by step game plan for every single one of those concerns. I cannot tell you what a difference this made, I went back to my cell filled with hope. This hope was kept alive due to the great communication he had with me, I never felt forgotten. I stopped worrying about getting “lost in the system” because I knew he wouldn’t let that happen. Karthik seemed to take a lot of pride in helping me, and I could see that he was actively motivated to get me justice. This in turn motivated me to stay out of trouble in the jail, and to not give up, something many inmates around me had done. I really felt that he went above and beyond to help me not only understand the laws and the legal side, but to also show me that my life wasn’t over. In the end I was sentenced to formal probation, with a program instead of state prison. I could not have been more satisfied with this outcome. Karthik even explained that in a few years I have an opportunity to reduce my felonies to misdemeanors, and that he would be able to help me with that too. He went above and beyond to help me, and I could not have been more grateful to have found him and this firm.

David Diamond has represented my son and had gone against every principal you try to teach your child with accountability, honesty and integrity. Everything we tried to do as parents to protect and teach your child to do the right thing was thwarted by enablers and David Diamond. We would always tell my son that we love him and he will figure it out one day. He still has to figure things out and to live a productive life in society but he knows now the ones who had his best interest at heart and the enablers. When we tried to get our son into rehab, every effort was to fabricate and make excuses for behavior rather than to acknowledge the behavior and find out why it is occurring. Thank goodness my son does realize that he needs to adjust to society in order to excel in life.....which does not mean you give up your personality and beliefs but you exist where you can be happy and content in life but still follow social rules and guidelines. This will take many more years for my son to learn and David Diamond hindered that along with three enablers who have since apologized for their part in what they have done to lead this child down a path that was not ok. Please .....every parent vote as if this were your child who you were trying to help, yet being hindered every step of the way.......

Dave is an awesome DUI attorney. I was honestly worried sick about what I was facing. LA is a commuter town and you have to have a license. This is not New York and you have to drive. Excellent Service! Right from the moment I spoke to a representative from this company on the phone I knew they were going to do a fantastic job. I was quite impressed with Mat Rochlin. I have been in business for almost 50 years and one thing I alway hate is legal headaches. Mat did a great job of communicating and keeping me in the loop. At the same time he kept things moving forward and did a great job of closing this off before trial. Keeping costs unproductive losses and time down. I have great respect for his keeping me calm while I was put off by false and inflated claims by the opposing side. He can do a secondary job of being is Shrink for keeping my feet on the ground while I was angry over being made to be seen in an inappropriate and unflattering light. I would very much recommend him for his astute legal acumen and skillful maneuvering in todays complex legal waters. Try him out you won't be disappointed.
