I have had only two experiences with lawyers in my adult life, both stemming from a DUI I earned and deserved a couple of years ago. The first attorney went once to court with me and did a reasonable job as far as I know on the plea and getting me supervision. After that, he wasn't willing to take my calls and was pretty much non responsive. This led me to look on line for other representation. I had a serious case in Will County in courtroom 402. I was facing 8 criminal counts involving home invasion, aggravated use of a weapon, burglary and resisting arrest. I was completely innocent, and the entire incident stemmed from a disagreement with an individual that got out of control and ended up involving the police who also claimed they found a gun on me after arresting me. My wife was pregnant with our first child, and the Bolingbrook police department seemed bent on making my life hell. I was looking at more than ten years in prison.
