Paul's tears actually arrived before my own as the judge read the next 5 not guilty verdicts. We respectfully, quietly and tearfully celebrated that the prayers for truth and justice were answered. Getting arrested is a frightening thing, especially if you didn’t even realize you broke the law. Then the court assigns you a lawyer that just wants to get it over with and move on. I had a very unpleasant experience with this man. I called him because his website said he offered a free consultation. I wasn't sure if I even needed a lawyer or not. I was trying to explain my situation to him when he interrupted me, and accused me of trying to get free legal advice, with the intention of never hiring him. He told me that I could pay him $200 merely to talk to him for a few minutes. I ended up calling another attorney, this one actually cared about what I had to say.
