Worst attorney a public defender would had done better I paid for regular court and for trial I paid him 15,000 I ended up not going to trial because torres was not getting me any better deals.when I found out I was suppose to get my money back for not going to trial I called torres about it and he got offended because I new my rights he treaten me with locking me up if I went to his office to try and get my money he owed me for not going to trial he promised me he would make something up and get me arrested I got all my messages from him making those treats torward me on my moms phone even after I told him not to text me those things on my moms phone he did anyways he had no respect for my mom.my mom saw the messages and made her cry, Thinking he was going to lie and get me locked up for no reason even after i told him it was my moms number. David torres is what u call a truck in the attorney world the people that I Kno that got torres as there attorney have all told me the same thing about him being a truck a public defender would had done way better than paying torres all that money for nothing.so if u want a good attorney for for salas or someone else other than the truck david torres,even a public defender would be better than torres.

Unhappy. Used him once. His daughter took over for him. An arrogant woman. At court I attempted to ask her a few questions about my case. She seemed repulsed that I even wanted to talk to her. As I was speaking, her phone rang, she turned and walked away from me. My calls usually weren't returned.

This attorney Is a joke he basically didn’t help my husband all he did was keep our money and. Basically wanted us to plead guilty from what people in prison say about Torres is that he is a truck was icky he don’t do anything for the people.not only that when my husband did not go to trial Torres never gave him his money back that he had paid for trial and when my husband called about the money Torres treaten him with him getting my husband arrested if he put a foot in his office and Charging him with trespassing we have the text messages to prove it he basically stole over 5000 bucks from my husband that he was suppose to return back to him for not going to trial his a liar and never showed up to his court dates would always have some other attorney do his job I would. Not record him at all ur better off with a public pretender

My experience was with Alekixa Torres-Stalling. In interviewing her and giving her the details of my husband case, she assured me, that she could get my husbands case dropped to a misdemeanor. She stated she was very familiar with the unit who was filing charges, since her husband worked in that department. However, once it was time to actually go before the court, nothing happened, she completely mislead us! She claimed the D.A. had been changed but that she would go in and request different information against the officer making allegations, SHE NEVER DID ANYTHING. What she did and what my husband had to take as a deal, since we couldn't get any money back was exactly what the public defender was going to get. She is very lazy and does not follow through. She later claimed kern county is conservative AMD that was the best. My husband requested she submit a change if venue/location, to which she refused assuming the judge would deny it and then be upset with us for requesting it and remove the plea deal. Do yourself a favor and save your money, go with the public defender.

We had to hire an attorney for a small family legal matter, so we searched the Internet. I liked what I saw on Fred's web site and made an appointment. He has a real friendly and casual attitude. He took more time than I thought an attorney would take to explain the ins and outs of our case and how he would defend it. At the end of our meeting he insisted that we think about what he had to say and his fees before making a deposit. In other words, he didn't pressure us to commit. I suppose ultimately all that doesn't matter, what matters is the outcome. I can honestly say the outcome of our case was better than I expected and for a reasonable fee. I would highly recommend Fred.

Paid the firm on Dec.18. - I was told "If it took 22 trips to the courts my ".03 no -traffic stop DUI -would be dismissed". I heard no info. from them for 5 months- (when he sent me another person's entire file in error.) I then reached out to them in every way I could- and he did not get back to me for 5 more months- When he did call -he was full of complaints as to why my ".03 dui with no traffic stop" case was so difficult - After that, in 11.19 -he offered me a FULL REFUND in writing - I was very concerned so I flew to Calif to meet with him 1.20-- he offered many excuses as to why we could never meet. I asked both for my refund- ( never got it) and also for a copy of my fee agreement as he said he was "working for free"- ( I previously paid him a FORTUNE to handle this matter for me.- and his office recognized receipt and deposit of the payments.) Turns out, among other things, the fee agreement was never signed by either party-. Neither this man {or his firm} were reliable - they did only 3 boilerplate motions for discovery- including one failed pitches motion. Ultimately, once I found an honest ethical attorney- my case was dismissed in one meeting (by a bright ethical gal right out of law school.)

I would like to express my deepest and most sincere appreciation and gratitude to all of the staff at Middlebrook & Associates for their help and support with my case. I'm not a resident of Kern County and wasn't familiar with Middlebrook & associates prior to my incident. We hired Jesse for $25,000, he lied to my brother about what he was signing and my brother has to do more time than promised by Jesse. he is extremely hard to get a hold of and will not return calls. there was numerous times Jesse lied to us and just played it off as a mistakes. he did not care one bit about what he did. I would stay away from this firm. your better of not taking a risk

I was arrested on three felony counts. Seriously my life was falling apart because I married the wrong person. I was framed with three counts. I served two days in jail and lost custody of my child. I felt like my life was over! That’s until I met Mark. He seriously walked along side me the whole way! He was always available to talk and is very knowledgeable. If you want an attorney that really wants to help you, go with Tony . he was recommend to me by a friend who also has hired tony and I'm so glad I listened and got him as well . I had 2 separate gun charges and 4 other felony charges and ended up after my case was over with two misdemeanor charges and court probation and he was still willing to try to get me less if i wanted to proceed . I hardly write reviews, unless they are deserved! tony and todd are awesome ! Blessed to have met them both. if I'm ever in trouble again I know who to call. Wow there are not enough words for this man to say how amazing he is and how caring. He is my fathers attorney and I went through 3 attorneys before hiring him, I wasted time not hiring him in the first place I’m not for that area so I didn’t know about him until I saw him representing someone else that’s when I knew he was the guy. He works hard and worries about his clients when no other attorneys do that. I trust him with my fathers life and mine which I would never say that about no attorney. He answers my messages on weekends when I ask him if I need to drive to court he saves me the time that’s how much I trust him to not show up because I know my dad is in the best hands. Mr. Lidgett is a unbelievably wonderful attorney. I still can't believe what he done for me. It's really unbelievable! No other attorney would have cared or tried as much as Mr. Lidgett did. He always gave me hope, when in reality in a case like mine there was no hope. For 2 an a half years, Mr. Lidgett would always tell me there's a small chance we could win. I always thought he was just trying to cheer me up, (sweet guy). But when I seen him in action during trial, he preformed amazingly! Sometimes During my Trial, I would think he's stressing more then me, he would look exhausted; Its almost as if he was looking at the time instead of his client (poor guy).... He's very Frank with his clients, he never lies to them. He try's outstandingly HARD, he does not give up. During my 2 month long trial (which was in outstandingly long trial), Mr. Lidgett and he's secretaries (Todd and Joey) would Be working on my case till 3 am! These guys would do it because they actually cared! They worked so hard, staying up late countless times. And there hard work paid off, they gave me a second chance at LIFE. It was such a hopeless case, But these guys made the unbelievable happen. Even if I would have lost my trial, I would not regret hiring Mr. Lidgett, he fights very hard, and he fights even harder on a appeal. He started as my attorney, and we ended being Friends.
