Being new to Vail, I was unsure who to contact when I was faced with a legal situation regarding the recovery of my security deposit. I was put in an unfortunate situation where my former landlord was refusing to return any money to me and did not provide a lease for me to sign when I moved in to the residence. After researching the relevant statutes, Jim drafted a letter telling the landlord that he is required by law to refund my deposit to me and my boyfriend. Within days, he recovered the money. In October 2019, I was pulled over for illegal lane change and refused to provide roadside tests/breathalyzer with my son in the car. I was arrested and booked into jail for DUI, and child abuse. The entire experience was devastating. I previously used Jason 15 years ago for a DUI that was lowered to DWAI and called his firm right away. Ryan was assigned my call case. We discussed all my options looking at pros and cons. Ryan was great walking me through the process and keeping my anxiety at ease. Eventually, we got our day in court and I was found not guilty on all charges but a lane violation. Ryan did an excellent job presenting my case. With Ryan and Jason, they changed my life. I was able to stop worrying about job background checks and stop worrying my ex would get custody of my son. I highly recommend Ryan and Jason for any DUI/DWAI as they both are incredibly knowledgeable and professional!

Unfortunately he was extremely over priced and does not do his due diligence. We requested the body camera footage from day one. He even went as far as to tell us it usually does not exist. After realizing he was not working for us we ultimately fired him and we beat the case on our own. I observed him for months plea client after client out never requesting to bring matters to trial. To quote Mr. Moorhead “hey it’s a business”. The red flag we ignored in the beginning was the fact he told us we can leave the state while on bond with out the courts permission. To quote him once again “you can’t get in trouble anyways”. Save your money and time and find another lawyer unless you want the bare minimum. Good luck with your matters!
