Recently was in California helping a friend move and I ran into some trouble.. Based on my research online I reached out to Mr. Anis based off of other reviews I have read. Being from Pa I had to do everything over phone call and email. Mr. Anis was really quick upon answering with sound advice regarding my legal matter. He also was able to break down the law into normal person terms so that someone without a law degree would be able to understand everything. He answered the many questions I had (considering I was out of state) and he did it as if he was a good friend and not someone who you would potentially hire. You can tell just how sincere Mr. Anis is in his work. He wants what is best for you, and based off of the other reviews I have read he gets results as well. Being a recent college grad Mr. Anis was very upfront with me on what it would have cost me and said he was willing to work with a payment plan as well, which would have been extremely useful to me. Luckily for me, my case ended up being dismissed. However with that being said, if I could get a message out to anyone reading this it would be that Mr. Anis is a standup guy who will be very honest with you, but he will get you results. I couldn't thank him enough for the time and advice during this very stressful time.

Decio is the best! CASE DISMISSED!! Not to knock my Public Defender, but she had already written me off after a 90 second conversation, and told me I should plead guilty to a deal without asking more than 3 questions. I almost just accepted this, but knew I wasn't guilty and decided not to be a victim of the system built to protect me. I first called Decio to ask his opinion on my case, and I immediately felt he was invested in finding out the full details and did not jump to any conclusions. After our brief 10 minute phone discussion, he laid out a few ways he thought the case could go, but offered to meet in person the same day to provide a more in depth assessment. We met at his office, which is very warm and welcoming, and went to a private conference room where for about 30 mins he and I discussed the case, after which he told me how he thought he could best fight the case for me, and that all hope was not lost as the Public Defender had made me feel at my initial hearing. His confidence in me and what I was telling him convinced me he was going to be not only my best chance at a fair outcome, but to deal with someone who looked at me as an individual, not just another case number to get through. Throughout the case, Decio personally reached out to me at least a dozen times to keep me up to speed, to ask for meetings, info, etc.... I never once had to go looking for him. When he explained something over the phone that I just wasn't sure or clear about, he always invited me to come meet at the office to work through things, always reassuring. The longer our relationship grew, the more I could feel him becoming personally attached to my outcome, and it really felt like I had someone on my team who wanted not only the best outcome for the case, but for my life moving forward in general. If you're on the fence about whether to hire a private attorney, I can't say enough good things about my experience with Decio, and am so very certain now making the call to him changed the path my life was headed. With the public defender, I'd be living the rest of my life with a conviction and the stigma and shame for something I wasn't guilty of. With Decio, NO CONVICTION, CASE DISMISSED! And also, just as important, I don't feel like a helpless civilian who can be railroaded into guilt, I know that if you have the right help, you can push back! Thank you again for everything Decio!

I had retained Decio, based on recommendations just like this one. It was the best decision i had made and Decio was worth every penny. I was dealing with a situation much bigger than the case itself, as i could not lose, or i would lose my career. Decio guided me through the entire process, eased my fears, however set real life expectations. Decio knows the law and the system and will manage your case from different perspectives. Most importantly Decio made me really feel that he cared and would do whatever it takes to fight for my rights and civil protections. He is highly responsive and always returns calls and emails within a few hours. My advice, be completely and 100% honest with him, as he is only as good as the information and honesty you give to him. You are paying him to develop a winning strategy, so tell him everything, regardless if you think it is irrelevant. And yes, Decio was able to get my case dismissed. Simply the best!

This would've been my second excess of 100mph charge. After the first one I got when I was 18 I didn't wanna find out what a second offense would be like. License suspension, $1000 fine, 3 points on my record I didn't wanna take a chance. I called David met him at his office for a consultation. I decided he's the guy for the job. The day of the hearing he calls me while I'm at home and tells me the good news. Case dismissed! I couldn't belive it. Mr.Dastrup, going forward will be the attorney I would recommend to friends and family as well as for me if I run into trouble again.

I got a speeding ticket on a street near my house. It was my first ticket in 7 years, so I assumed that I could go to traffic school to avoid having the ticket appear on my record; but when I logged on to the court website to pay my ticket, it said that traffic school was not available to me. I found out that the speed recorded on the ticket was 1 mph more than the amount permitted for traffic school. So I looked online to see if there was a traffic ticket lawyer in my area that might be able to request traffic school for me. I called the office of David Dastrup, in Long Beach, and left a message with the receptionist. Mr. Dastrup called me back right away and answered all of my questions. I told him that this was my first ticket in 7 years, and he explained to me that the amount of time between tickets wouldn’t help me in court; he said that many people go for a long time before getting a ticket… it doesn’t always mean they didn’t speed the entire time… it just means they hadn’t been caught yet. He did say that he might be able to request traffic school and possibly even lower the fine a bit. I told him that I was only concerned with keeping the ticket off of my record, and not really that concerned about the fine. The fee he quoted me for his services was much lower than I expected, so I jumped at the chance. Mr. Dastrup has an online portal for sending/receiving documents and for messaging, and he was very good about keeping me updated on my case, via the portal. After my trial (which I did not need to attend), Mr. Dastrup called me and told me that he was able to get the judge to lower the speeding amount so I could go to traffic school, AND he took almost 2/3rds off of the fine amount! I couldn’t believe it; I thought for sure that I would end up with the ticket on my record for years, and that I would be saying to myself, “Well, at least I tried.” I could never have accomplished this without the help and expertise of Mr. Dastrup. Thanks to him, the results were above and beyond what I expected. Mr. Dastrup is very knowledgeable, friendly, a good listener, great with maintaining communication, and charges very reasonable fees. Highly recommended!

Just wanted to give another shout out to for getting my criminal case dismissed. I already said this but so grateful in the new year. I know they said this doesn’t always happen but it worked for me. Simply put, stuff went wrong accidentally and I needed help. I didn't know what to do at first but remembered my friend had hired an attorney for speed contest racing and license suspension in Los Angeles. Apparently that's a crime. So he hired this lawyer. He got his drivers license back. My fried said he was super helpful so that's why I called Dave. He explains a lot. Let me know what was happening. Did the job. Thanks Dave!

I had some legal issues I needed help with and I was living abroad at the time. I was really unsure about who to use and was getting various quotes and opinions from so many lawyers. It was honestly VERY overwhelming. Especially being abroad and not being able to meet them face to face. My husband said he really liked the response and professionalism from Mr. Greg Hill. Greg has been humble, empathetic, professional, and over all amazing with his help. He solved ALL of my problems and I didn't even have to be in the states for any of it. I was sure there would be one problem, or something wouldn't go smoothly, but nothing did. I am amazed and I will recommend Mr. Greg Hill to any friends who need legal help or advise. This was my first time ever using a lawyer and I'm so beyond grateful and happy I chose Greg. His rates were far more fair. Could you believe I got quoted double the amount ($$$$$) by other lawyers and Greg Hill handled everything at a more affordable rate?! Lucky me! Fair him! Many years ago Mr. Hill helped me with a legal matter that I was dealing with. I did not understand all that was going on, and I must admit that it was hard for me to let go of the control I had held on to so tightly. and trust someone else with my life. I had a lot going on, I was dealing with divorce, and some other stuff at the same time. I am glad that I let Mr. Hill handles some legal matters for me. After we both tested each other to see what the truth was I felt comfortable using Mr. Hill services. There were still some things that I had to handle on my own. Plus, even though Mr. Hill charged a fair amount for his time and service, I had limited financial resources. I am thankful for the part of my legal matter the Mr. Hill was able to resolve. I would highly recommend Mr. Hill. Even if you don't fully understand his methods, Mr. Hill is worth letting go of the 'control'. He knows his job, and is a good lawyer. At times Mr. Hill feels under appreciated, but he still does his job. It may seem as if it's all about the money for Mr. Hill, but that is not the case. He thrives on winning. He reminds me of every sports player I have ever seen play. The sports player goal is to win the game. A Lawyers goal is to win the case. Different area, same goal. Win or lose. It's all about how you play the game. Mr. Hill plays with a winning spirit. That is someone who I want on my team. The victories are much sweeter, and the loses...well you win some. you lose some. you regroup, re-strategize, and you play again.

I strongly recommend Greg Hill & Associates if you have been charged with a traffic violation. His knowledge is extensive and incredibly well explained. After speaking with Mr. Hill he was able to provide me with several options to lessen the then potential punishment I would receive through his past experience and knowledge on these proceedings. I felt that I was in good hands under his counsel, highly recommended.

I had three prior felonies that I wanted reduced under 17(b). After numerous hours of internet searching, and consulting with three different lawyers, I was told that due to a receiving a prison sentence, it could not be reduced under 17(b). I found Mr. Hill. He said that it depends on the judge. He was right. I retained him and he got them all reduced under 17(b). His price was amazing for what he accomplished. I am incredibly happy to have found Mr. Hill. I would absolutely recommend Mr. Hill to anyone needing comparable results.

So I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to write something about lawyer, Max Gorby. I’m a UCLA student and I got into a little mess a few months back for having one too many mojitos and trying to drive to my girlfriend’s parents house in Tarzana. To make this very long and sad story short, Max got my sentence reduced to a wet reckless. Considering what I was facing, the guy is a magician! Thanks Max!!!

Hired them to do a post-conviction case review (which, to be fair, was decently thorough) and it was supposed to be applied towards any legal work. They ended up wanting to refer us to another counsel after the person whose case it is got upset about the options being presented and expressed this verbally, but not disrespectfully, over the phone to the case manager. They did NOT honor the agreement that the case review investment would be applied to future legal work. They also had another staff member call by proxy to give us this news, rather than having the case manager involved call us directly. This brings up the question: if you can't handle a little heat, how in the world are you going to be fighters in Court? Quick to take the money, but short on empathy or tolerance in understanding people's situations.

Another person posted the pros and cons of this firm and some of them I agree with and some of them I disagree with. The original post is below and at the end I'll give my opinion where I agree and disagree. "Here are the honest PROS and CONS of Spolin Law. READ THIS FIRST if you are thinking of hiring them. PRO: They do criminal law appeals and seem to know this material well. Their posts indicate that cases have multiple attorneys assigned. Always better to have a team of lawyers than just one person. There is an actual support staff helping on cases They have a ton of success stories in the media, so it looks like they can get results. Just google "Spolin Law client walks free" for one example. CON: They are not a generalist firm that can just handle anything, like dui, immigration, suing the government and that type of stuff. They are not a guarantee that you will win. Some firms in other areas of law can guarantee success, like a business incorporation attorney. They don't seem to work for free. A recent law school graduate might be more willing to take on a free case for publicty, but it doesn't seem like they need publicity. This is not the cheap dollar-store option. " I agree with some but not all of this. I agree with most of the general points but I disagree with two things listed here. Disagreement number one is that they say a person can not guarantee success in criminal law but that is not true because you could have a great case and know that you are going to win like the OJ Simpson case where there were five or six expensive lawyers for OJ and they were bound to win from the start if you think about it. Disagreement number two is that you can not rely on other posts to know how many attorneys are assigned to a case, because seeing stuff in the media where there were multiple attorneys does not mean that every case has multiple attorneys.

I highly recommend Spolin Law! Attorney Aaron is an amazing person and extremely responsible for his client. I had an dispute with my former client and caused some trouble to my firm. And he would listen to my side of the story and patiently guided me through the whole complicated legal process. He is very knowledgeable in terms of insurance law and gave me priceless advice during every process. More importantly, he, for the whole time, has been extremely proactive on my case. He always made contact, followed up and kept me updated with the status of the case. I can imagine that he has done a great deal of work and explanation on behalf of my firm to deal with the prosecutor. Eventually he got my case dismissed. 5 Stars are way not enough to value his constant professionalism, profound experience and excellent service!

In this capitalistic world, It’s very hard to find someone who’s truly invested in your success without having selfish motives. He provided me with the right advice at the cost of not taking my case. James Kosnett and his associate John Alexander were tremendously helpful in my family's fight against a private institute of higher education. They answered our call when virtually no one else would. Perhaps a bit pricey, but they managed to make the best of our situation. That being said, they aren't miracle workers, and can only work with the given facts. I read some of the other (more negative) reviews and can see how people might be put off by James' questioning - but at least in my experience, this was to flesh out our case and determine the weaknesses. Unfortunately in the law, not every wrong has a remedy, but James and John did the best they could, and we got a satisfactory outcome. The one thing I should add is, if your student is having difficulty at school, don't wait for things to escalate, just get James on the phone ASAP, this will save you tons of grief!

Completely unprofessional. A criminal case lawyer shouldn’t handle a civil case. Even when Louis Kosnett handled criminal cases he doesn’t seem to be professional; seems like he doesn’t even understand the elements of some California laws. My warm-hearted suggestion: maybe going back to law school is a good idea. The only reason I gave 1 star is that I can’t give him zero.

Mr. Elden was wonderful! He is professional and carries the heart of a teacher. He will explain the complexities of law in a very simple way and lays down a foundation of understanding so that you will know what the next steps are and what to expect.
