Do NOT hire this firm, they are a total rip off, I fired them due to their inability to communicate or tell me what was going on with my case, they only contacted me for money, literally they give me 5 minutes to make a decision before walking into the courtroom. Mr McConathy is great at convincing you to hire him by scaring you to death he will pressure you and put the iron claws in you to scare to into hiring them and then they overbill you and do nothing. Before my case was ever FILED with the county and before they could have done any work on that case, I fired them, thet debited my bank.acct $1, 400.00 AFTER billing me 500.00 for a traffic ticket!!!! Well to sum this up. They don’t communicate very much unless they need a payment. I literally drove up there to see what was going on with my case because i had not heard anything in over 2-3 months. My first felony ever and I decided to stick it out with them and boy was I lucky. The judge was lenient with my charge because i worked with law enforcement upon questioning. (The judges exact words) And upon questioning my lawyer about the process and what is happening he was getting antsy and got irritated because i wasn’t knowledgeable about what exactly happens through the legal system. I’m sorry I didn’t attend college to get my law degree. But didn’t you get your degree to actually help people and test the laws and see wether or not they were upheld? Or did you just get the degree for the money? Regardless I had gotten what I wanted (deferred adjudication) but would I return to them? Probably not. Pay them if you want but once they have your money and sign the contract don’t expect nothing more than a phone call to pay up every month. And make a decision 5 minutes before going into court for the final decision. Sorry if yall expected a 5 star review for me getting what I wanted but I was expecting a lot more for $5,000.

I would advise you not to go to him. He lost my husband appeal. Who is serving a life sentence for his first offense ever. He’s never been to prison. We paid $15,000 to John helms just to get denied an appeal that he supposedly never lost. That’s a lie. He has lost. Think twice if you need legal help I would not recommend this lawyer at all. I called in to speak with Ms. Mona Hosseiny after being referred to her by a past client. Once we were able to set up a consultation, her demeanor showed to be very rude and unprofessional. I did not get the sense she had any education at all. Let alone what it should require to be a trial attorney. Had I chosen to hire Ms. Hosseiny I certainly feel beyond a doubt she would have problems getting her motions in, and i wondered if she even knows how to present an exhibit at all. If I dare say after hearing her in person I would not be surprised seeing her have mental breakdowns in the court room. I could vividly see her screaming in court, like she did in our meeting. On the plus side she is above average in the looks department. Not beautiful, but good looking enough that im sure she would be accepted into a different and more suiting career path, if the right man approached her. Maybe not Hooters, but something along that line which requires less intellectual capability and thought processing. I knew from the beginning that my case was going to be a tough one. Kent did too and was very upfront from the start. He told me that, due to the evidence the state had against me, we weren’t going to be able to fight it. But that didn’t stop him from doing everything he could to negotiate better terms for me as far as punishment. Andrew is quick to take the money but EXTREMELY slow/non-existent with the result. He HAS TO BE WRITING his own positive review because there is no way he should be admired for his professionalism. I gave him over 1k to complete expungement HE said I was eligible for on 10/9/19. Literally did not hear from him after multiple emails and texts over the 1st 5 months. After about 6 months he sends 1 text saying my expungement was approved but he was waiting for them to send the paperwork. I waited almost another 2 months i texted him for my paperwork and he text back saying he would look into. He called me back 1 time to say he messed up and didnt realize he couldnt do the expungement due to me having a non-disclosure on a prior case. I called down to the court house and they advise me he missed my the court appearance so it didn’t go through. After numerous texts to him he responds i will look into it when I get back from vacation. Another month or so goes by. He texted me back a one-liner saying he would do my non-disclosure for this case for free since he messed up on the expungement. Basically since 10/2019 I have spoken to him once. I AM FILING A GRIEVANCE with TX bar assoc. AND I still have no paperwork. PLEASE DONT USE HIM!!! He is the worst “professional” and a nightmare to deal with. You’ve been warned, this is not a drill.

This guy. Where to even start. I gave this guy $1500 to handle a case for me and the most he did was miss the freaking court date. Literally. Now as the case is still pending I can’t get a response to multiple voicemails and text messages directly to Peveto’s cell phone. I have filed a complaint with the Texas State Bar Association and warn anyone seeking service from this fraud to steer clear. Anyone, literally ANY other attorney will be a better choice for you.
