If you can't find Batman or the Avengers in the yellow pages call Fielding Law Group! The ties hide their secret identities but they are really superheroes. Straightforward, courteous and easy to deal with from start to finish. If you're injured in a motor vehicle accident make the call! I was riding a bicycle when I was hit and I'm so glad they were there to help.

In 2014 I needed legal help with my L & I claim. I ended up working with Genie, who is absolutely amazing. Genie Burns was knowledgeable and always on top of my questions, even if they were silly. Her follow up time was top notch and I always had my answers within 24 hours. Not only is Genie an amazing asset to the legal firm, but a true gem. The office staff was also very friendly and helpful in trying to answer questions. Scott Brumback is also very down to earth, helpful and not pushy. Scott also works hard on making sure that you are taken care of by the staff. This law group by far is top notch. I recommend their services over any in Yakima.

Please forgive any typos in this message. It was dictated rather than typed due to injury. The claims coordinator Carrie Burris couldn't understand me. She'd take statements like "Yes, repeatedly over the last four months" to mean "Just once over the last four months". She kept calling a woman in my case "him" and using "his dog" to describe this woman's dog. When I said that I was beginning to get irritated because I wasn't being listened to, she said "I'm not asking anything embarrassing or what I think would be sensitive information, so I can't see why you're getting irritated". Really? I just told you why! You're continuing to prove that you don't understand me. When I expressed this, she said she didn't know how it was pertinent. You not understanding me or the details of my case seems pretty pertinent to me, but maybe that's just me. If you don't mind spending time and money repeating yourself and clarifying things umpteen times, then go with Abeyta. Awful phone experience with Carrie Burris.

I was in a car accident that resulted in a severe foot injury back in Dec. 2019. I called Abeyta Nelson the very next day, and since then Terry & Lisa have been so easy to work with. They literally took care of everything--dealing with my medical insurance, my car insurance & the other guy's car insurance. I had a really long road to recovery that included 2 surgeries & 5 months of twice a week physical therapy. I was able to completely focus on getting better & didn't have to think about the insurance mess at all. Terry & Lisa kept me informed & were available any time I had questions. So far, five stars. My case is still pending. I can say this, though. Very professional, courteous, and willing to tell it like it is. No fancy fluff. Just straight honesty. Yeah, that's right! I said it. If you've ever had less-than-stellar service from another legal eagle, then I recommend Alex Johnson and his family. They evaluated my case for free and were straight forward with their recommendation. I like that. Update: 3/10/21. Case Dismissed! Got the call this morning. Wow! Does the term "verklempt" mean anything to you? I had to fight back the tears. Then they got all choked up. Almost a cry-fest. After some deep breathing and a composure reset, they congratulated me on my victory and wished me well. Worth every penny!

I met with four different attorneys before deciding to hire Alex Johnson for my case, and I definitely made the right decision! He took my case seriously, worked hard to get a resolution that far exceeded my expectations, and even offered assistance on something that wasn't 100% related to my case. The staff at Johnson and Johnson treat you like a friend, not just a client, and that is something you need when dealing with legal issues that could impact your life in a negative way. I also want to mention how hard Winnie worked to keep me updated on my case. With COVID-19 changing how court proceedings went, she was on top of letting me know what was going on. She also made me feel like I was her #1 priority. I would call or email her with questions, and she was always quick to respond, and never made me feel like I was being bothersome. Defoe must have been the good lawyer in this firm because Steve can't win a case to save his life. Simple case, but no strategy, we lost and even with low income had to pay alimony for years to come. If you're going to use this law firm, make sure to stay on top of things because they won't be. Except for sending bills, they're no good.

Pickett did a fine job at first, my wife accused me of all kinds of crazy stuff trying to shame me and gain the upper hand but he stood up for me really well. I was very impressed to be honest. After that... I am not experienced with attorneys but I would expect at the rates I was paying to at least have fair communication from his office. I even had to call and get the info for my hearings (during covid) so I could call in to be present. The emailed bills I received were on the regular but made no sense. I would receive bills by mail that did add up so I would pay them promptly in person. Found out by certified mail over half way through my case that he quit on me. The letter didn't say and when I called I couldn't get a REAL reason as to why he quit. I was told that not only was my $3500 retainer spent (first I knew any of it had been touched) but I also owed nearly $500 more. Took me a couple of days to get a new lawyer (most don't want to take a case started by another) and in that time I found out that I missed a hearing. Had to pay my soon to be ex's lawyer $500 in fee's because I didn't "appear", would've been nice to have been given the courtesy of knowing. I am sure Pickett's office knew about it because of what my wife said. That's how I found out I owed her lawyer. Like many others have said on here, he wants your retainer fee, tells you enough to lead you on and drops you once he gets his money. Seems to be a reoccurring theme in these reviews. I have nothing to say about Defoe, I had no dealings with him or his people. I was planning on writing a good review because at the start I felt really good with Pickett and his staff. In the end I wish I had taken the advice I read here. My case was pretty simple and almost done, but it was on to a new client. If you have a case an need representation or especially have a fight on your hands choose another attorney. If I was to really dole out GOOD advice I would say this... As a man in our current legal climate, don't get married in the first place. I never will again. Sadly, if you are reading this it's to late.

Find a different lawyer. We’ve had them for nearly a year we have been billed weekly upwards of ten grand and they’ve accomplished absolutely nothing we always have to contact them repeatedly before they respond. Family court in this state is already hard enough to go through if you want to spend mass amounts of money to get absolutely no where with no communication no plan of action. then they are for you.

I am not one to normally leave reviews for any business, but I am currently working with Defoe Pickett Law and I can say that everyone there has been wonderful. I have worked with both Steven Defoe and Mason Pickett, and I am confident in their skills at handling my situation. These men are very intelligent at what they do and I am glad I chose this firm to represent me. Initially, I was very uncertain at what to expect as I have never been to court before. However, the support staff has been very helpful at informing me of everything that I am to expect in this process. In conclusion, Defoe and Pickett, as well as paralegals Hannah and Kelly have been very compassionate and thorough with the work they do. They understand my situation and have been nothing but professional, supportive, and compassionate in what they do. If you want the right team, I recommend this firm.

used Defoe in the past. Planned on hiring him again, receptionist would not help me to ask him a single question before hiring him. All I waned to know is If had run out of time to get child support, if not I was will to pay the fees right away. I thought about sending an email to him since i have it, but whats the point if this is how the business is ran then I'll just hire someone who wants my money.
